Just thought I should say hello!

I've only come to our Lord Jesus a few months ago, was baptised last week and I'm so excited but I know I've got a lot to learn which is why I'm here!

I'm gonna be asking lots of questions, I think, so please don't get too fed up if they're silly ones? Or if I say some wrong things - I'm reading my bible every chance I get but a long way to go yet!

My church is "Today's Community Church" in Wigan (that's near Manchester, in the UK, if there's any other Brits on here?), I did the Alpha Course and it totally changed my life. I was a real sinner before (but too shy to tell people the kinds of things I did!)...

Whoa! Welcome to the family, Laura. :angel: Welcome to the site also. :D

When you think of yourself as a sinner, remember the words of Paul:

1 Tim 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
1 Tim 1:13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
1 Tim 1:14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
1 Tim 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Hi Laura! The angels are rejoicing!

It's wonderful to hear your testimony and of your baptism! Amen!

While reading your post, I thought of this verse. Hope you enjoy!

From the Apostle Paul while in prison to his friends in Philippi who came to his aid and brought him food. (if you were in prison back then and nobody brought you food, you starved.)

I'll just start here. You can go back and read what's before this.

Philippians 3:12-16 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained.

Your walk in and with our Lord has just begun, welcome to the Body of Christ!

Psalms 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
