Hi.. i'm new to christianity

Hi everyone..

It's taken me a while to pluck up the courage to do this. I have recently turned to christ from being a Hindu for 21 years of my life.
I found christ when i was at a low point in my life, i wanted help from the gods i thought were real but had no answers, so i prayed to jesus and he's been in my life ever since.

I have only told a few friends about this. I am worried about telling my parents. They will be so hurt.. I've put my trust into the Lord and hope that he will guide me into telling them when it is the right time and will remove any obstacles that may stand in the way.

I guess i just wanted to know if anyone has been in this situation themselves?

First hello and welcome! Thank you for sharing your testimony. I’m sorry I can not relate because I was raised in a Christian home. I will pray for you and that the Lord may open your parents’ hearts to your change of faith and to the Lord.

Hello Shorty! Like the other two fellas, I was raised in a Christian home. I will pray for you that God will give you the words to say, and someone who can directly relate to your situation. I know it helps if someone has actually been in the same situation. Like Scott said, my PM box is open if you ever need something. I don't figure too many people around here would mind if you dropped them a line.

Shorty I've called myself a Christian all my life but I didn't know what it really meant. My parents had never taken me to church nor told me what Christ was about. I recently found the true meaning of Christ through the Word and I was afraid of telling my parents. My suggestion is to pray. I did and God gave me the strength to tell my parents of my faith and my parents accepted it.
