Hi from a (somewhat) recently saved deaf artist and craving to learn more
Being deaf and having been an atheist for approximately 12 years before becoming saved on Oct 15, 2009, I simply just do not have much experience interacting with any christian community. Especially as I am 'stuck' at a deaf university in DC which is extremely liberal (sometimes it feel that the LGBT is the MAJORITY over here :eeeekkk ) Sooo.... I'm here to see if I could have more of a thoughtful discussion of Christ and to learn more. Because I'm nearing the end of college right now, I just simply never read the entire bible still. I am getting sick of the excuses to just simply not go to church or to read the bible even though I have finally been saved.
So here I am, guardedly seeing how this particular online community works. This online community is not intended to replace the bible or church but instead I am intending to use this forum to help me keep christ in my mind and heart more. Discussion of such matters make it easier for me to realllly think on it. I'm sure that many of you are aware of the various denominations and various interpretations of the bible that may be incorrect and misleading. I simply do not know how well this community follows the bible but all evidence points to it. So I'll be involving myself a little more around here
Especially as I want to eventually develops an art business that is centered on the traditional christian values.
