Horoscopes and Astrology

What do you think? Are horoscopes facts or fictional? Sinful or just plain nonsense? I read mine occassionally and it's about 50% accurate. Can the planets really determine one's personality traits?

Personally, I think they're nonsense. I'm also a little leary of them because they seem to be one step in the direction of devilish things... (I have a lot of friends who really got into reading their horoscopes and now they tend to practice more paganish ideals than Christian ones, so it makes me nervous).

You determine who you are in Christ. Astrology, in the sense of horoscopes, etc. is only an attempt by Satan and his demons to drag you away from Christ, and to try and get you to think that perhaps you don't have control over who you are, and who you become. You are a child of God and your future is known to Him alone who is your Father and Creator.

I'd like to say that it is all nonsense, but astrology is just another word for divination, and to some extent (if the person has a little help from our fiends below) it works.
How you say? Because the works of God are more obvious in the spiritual realm, and demons can see when sin will culminate and where sometimes and also when God is actively moving on Satan or for a Christian. For more insight into the nature of dark arts and demons, Acts will give some insight.

But back to the topic at hand. You see, sometimes these thing have nothing to do with direct demonic influence. If I told you something bad was going to happen to you tomorrow, the next day you would consider anything amiss to be the affirmation of that "Prophecy". So, you see, sometimes we trick ourselves. And if Satan can get us to think he, or a man, has the real power, then that's a problem Houston.

Now, if any old dope is using them, tarot cards, runes and etc, they don't work, but Christ did not call them the magic arts for nothing, and if a person is not careful, Satan will work with them to make them work.

So basically, if you don't no if something is real magic, don't try to find out.

Funny how the language/word choice used is so general that it can be taken to mean almost anything. I'm sure we can all research and find out where these dabblings come from and their more sinister lineage, but why bother when they can be so easily discarded by their face value. I'll leave the background info on astrology for someone else to discuss.

The moon in Virgo tells me that astrology is a load of hooey.

Whether or not there is any truth to horoscopes and astrology, whether or not they are fact or fiction, is for the most part irrelevant. The point is that people put their faith and trust in what is supposedly revealed by such devices, thus endowing them with powers they may not have. This is essentially the same as if such devices actually had power and revealed truths.

What I mean to say is that although I do believe that very few astrologers are real and the majority fake, it is the fact that people believe them and look to them for guidance instead of God that gives them actual control over such people. In such cases, even though the majority are just swindlers in it for the buck, peoples' belief in them puts it all on the same level as those who actually do receive guidance from demons. Thus, whether hooey or not, people are looking to other sources than God for guidance and that makes it divination.

I think if Satan were real and he was really trying to entice us he would use every dope he could find and make the magic work, don't you? Christian are constantly blaming Satan for trying to influence this or that then why isn't he doing it if he can? Surly he knows his time is running out at least that is what Christians say. What is he waiting for if he can make this magic real? Sorry but tarot cards runes etc is best left for your imagination and stories around a campfire. There is no evidence for it whatsoever.

I always say, like the old Carman song goes:

"Why look to the stars when you can look to the Maker of the stars" ;-)

of course not, a person and the people around them are responsible for developing them, there is no relation between horoscopes and fact, anything they may predict is by nothing more than coincidence.

Horoscopes are usually put across as openly-interpretable generalities, anyway. I mean, they're spoken in a vague, blanket context and anyone with any amount of curiosity can usually sit and sift through their own thoughts for abouit a minute to find SOME kind of worldly meaning. It's all based on worldly wisdom, as well.

To me, it's pretty easy to intuitively see through the scam.

As an astrologer, I must confess that daily horoscopes in the newspaper are crap.
