It's funny that I stumbled into this thread.I like the commentary.
But old time horror movies are a must for a serious movie watcher.
They are classics from Hollywood.
Nothing like the original Frankenstein, Wolfman, etc.

And you are right about the old horror movies. I watched Frankenstein a few months ago and I was like Wow! this is a well done movie.
Now I wish I had said 'growing up in the seventies' like I was going to, but didn't. Then you'd know I never got the chance to see them when they came out in the theaters like you did.I knew you were old.
Wasn't it the Blob?Saw that movie. But love a good Dracula flick, I like a lot of the old scary movies and some of the new ones too. Those classic ones like the 1952 The Day The Earth Stood Still, but Christpher Lee is my favorite Dracula., and movies like The Glob, is good classic stuff.
