Horrors of Evolution

Over 100 million men, women and children died in the last century, under the hands of Nazi/Communist governments, than under any religious groups combined.

We have just submitted our ministry report for our trip to Germany, which partly dealt with the dangers of evolution.

The following photographs captured this evil quite well.

The Nazi government was a Christian one. You can argue about Hitler being Christian or not, but the rest of the government and the extermination was done based on religious beliefs that the Jews were Christ-killers.

Adherence to communism became a belief system in itself (just like democracy became for America). Blind ideology and the inability to question beliefs leads toward so much abuse.

Hitler believed in evolution, but that was not what he practiced. What he wanted was something closer to selective breeding.

"Selective breeding" describes Hitler just perfectly. :o Let's just call it "unwanted people" or "race planning".

Based on what I've read, the predominant idea behind the extermination of the Jews was eugenics and the belief that the Jews were an inferior race equal to dogs or pigs. This came directly from the new ideas of evolution that appeared around 1900. Hitler may have goaded the uneducated masses with propoganda claiming that Jews were 'Christ-killers' and therefore should die (anybody with a brain would ask the question: If the Jews hadn't killed Jesus, he would not have atoned for our sins on the cross and there would basically be NO Christianity...) But I would argue that it was a secular (even 'atheist') ideal behind the Holocaust

In a way, it seems as if Hitler himself was trying to take the claim of being Jesus, or atleast another prophet.

The bible says all over that only certain people will go to heaven, ideally those that aren't sinners. these sinners are often considered inferior, and if hitler wanted to make his country the greatest country, and give it everything in the world, (pretty much making it like heaven) he would need to get rid of the sinners, and those that were against the cause.

Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection, set out in The Origin of Species (1859), The Descent of Man (1871), and The Expression of Emotion in Man and Animals (1872) challenged the Genesis account of special creation of species. It implied a continuity of humans and animals, of within-species and between-species variation, not only in body but in behavior (or mind) as well (see Darwin's Really Dangerous Idea). Darwin's Origin of Species inspired his cousin, Sir Francis Galton to build upon the concepts of variation and selection when he established the science of differential psychology in his book Hereditary Genius (1869) (see Galton and Differential Psychology ).

Galton's work was the fore-runner of the Eugenics movement and was of great influence to Hitler.

Eugenic's was taught in USA's most prestigious Universities until it become politically incorrect.

And, there were institutions all across the country designed to keep 'morons' from reproducing.
