Growth How are people responding to our needs

I have had this question on my mind for a couple of days.
Say you as a Christian have one maybe two dilemmas going on in your life. You go to several different people for help.Maybe you get no help from these people. In fact they are not willing to help you in the least.Do you think these people will see their choices in their judgment?Maybe they say "But Lord I have always known you".But Jesus says "Ok,lets take a look at how you denied my beloved in a very difficult time they were having".
What do you think?

Saw this post before i had to run to town....
Lets say i need to buy a car to get to work.... sheesh i need it now.... a fellow church member has a car for sale.... i try and make a deal with him it doesn't happen... So i think this guy is a jerk... God has already set THAT car aside for some one else.... the point is things are not always like they first appear.

Yes,but will that guy be convicted at his Judgment at how he responded to a Christian and how he did not help that person.Maybe what I am saying is that are people tested on our journey on this earth and you are being used for that.

IF God told him to sell the car to George and you are not George there is no need for judgement.. We see what is in front of us we all do... I cant tell you how many times I have had to ask forgiveness for being angry at the car in front of me for going so slow only to realize had i gone faster it would have been real bad.... This is something i do way too often... :) granny lead foot here :missyou

and our response to the bad actor is also judged. Seems like so many things fall into the be angry and sin not area...

Matthew 12
36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds[b] I will remember no more.”[c] Hebrews 8: 10-12 NKJV

24 Now to Him who is able to keep you[f] from stumbling,
And to present you faultless

Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
25 To God our Savior,[g] - Jude 1:24-25 NKJV

Is that just nonChristians Gary?

Mat 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Could that mean we women are off the hook? i am still silly about the catrug... Really i would think that covers mankind...

How does this fit in? Psa 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Col_2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Yes,then it would be the Great White Throne judgment of the unbelivers who will take account of everything they have done and said.

Jesus makes no distinction between the two. He says that we will either be justified or condemned. Would anyone that is justified end up in the lake of fire?

OK so that does not concern a believer.Do you think that their will be a degree of punishment in hell?Because why are they being judged?Wouldn't it be the same ole compartment in hell for everyone?

If judgment is only for the lost, why is the Book of Life brought out at the White Throne Judgment?

I don't believe in different degrees of punishment.

Yes,why is the Book of Life brought out?A nice little grandma who was a nice lady all her life but never believed in Jesus would not get the same punishment as Hitler.Doesn't a Judge on Earth tell you that you have either 10 years,20 years or life in prison?I will have to do some research on this because I am thinking their could be different areas in hell like their are different degrees of rewards in heaven. :chin

"Are there different levels of punishment in hell?"

Answer:
The idea that there are different levels of punishment in hell derives primarily from the Divine Comedy written by Dante Alighieri between 1308 and 1321. In it, the Roman poet Virgil guides Dante through the nine circles of hell. The circles are concentric, representing a gradual increase in wickedness, and culminating at the center of the earth, where Satan is held in bondage. Each circle's sinners are punished in a fashion befitting their crimes. Each sinner is afflicted for all of eternity by the chief sin he committed. According to Dante, the circles range from the first circle, where dwell the unbaptized and virtuous pagans, to the very center of hell reserved for those who have committed the ultimate sin—treachery against God.

Although it does not specifically say so, the Bible might seem to indicate that there are different levels of punishment in hell. In Revelation 20:11-15, the people are judged “according to what they had done as recorded in the books” (Revelation 20:12). All the people at this judgment, though, are thrown into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:13-15). So, perhaps, the purpose of the judgment is to determine how severe the punishment in hell will be. Whatever the case, being thrown into a slightly less hot portion of the lake of fire is no consolation to those who are still doomed for eternity. Whatever degrees of punishment hell contains, it is clear that hell is a place to be avoided.

Unfortunately, the Bible states that most people will wind up in hell. “…For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it” (Matthew 7:13-14). The question one must ask is “which road am I on?” The “many” on the broad road have one thing in common—they have all rejected Christ as the one and only way to heaven. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). When He said He is the only way, that is precisely what He meant. Everyone following another “way” beside Jesus Christ is on the broad road to destruction, and whether or not there are different levels of punishment in hell, the suffering is hideous, dreadful, eternal, and avoidable.

"What is the Book of Life?"

Answer:
Revelation 20:15 declares, “If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” The Book of Life is the set of names of those who will live with God forever in heaven. It is the roll of those who are saved. This Book of Life is also mentioned in Revelation 3:5; 20:12; and Philippians 4:3. The same book is also called the Lamb’s Book of Life because it contains the names of those who have been redeemed by the blood of the Lord Jesus (Revelation 13:8; 21:27).

How can you be sure your name is written in the Book of Life? Be sure you’re saved. Repent of sin and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:5). Once your name is written in the Book of Life, it is never erased (Revelation 3:5; Romans 8:37-39). No true believer should doubt his eternal security in Christ (John 10:28-30).

The Great White Throne Judgment described in Revelation 20:11-15 is a judgment for unbelievers. That passage makes it clear that no one at that judgment has his name in the Book of Life (Revelation 20:12-14). Since their names are not in the Book of Life, their fate is sealed, their punishment is sure.

Some people point to Revelation 3:5 as “proof” that a person can lose his salvation. However, the promise of Revelation 3:5 is clearly that the Lord will not erase a name: “He who overcomes . . . I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life.” An overcomer is one who is victorious over the temptations, trials, and evils of this world—in other words, one who is redeemed. The saved are written in God’s registry and have the promise of eternal security.

Another passage over which confusion sometimes arises is Psalm 69:28: “Let them [David’s enemies] be blotted out of the book of the living.” This “book of the living” should not be confused with the Lamb’s Book of Life. David is referring to earthly, physical life, not eternal life in heaven. The same is true of the “book” mentioned in Exodus 32:32-33.

God keeps good records. He knows His own, and He has set the names of His children permanently in His book.

Why not? Non-belief is non-belief. The wages of sin is death. There is no partiality with God. Anyone not found in the Book of Life is cast into the Lake of Fire. If there were different degrees of suffering, the bible would mention it.

The Lord is very protective of His own. If the person in need does not get help from another Christian I believe they will be judged for it unless they repent and turn from their ways. They may not go to hell for it, but they will be judged. Their glory in heaven may not be as great. I thing that Christian judgment will be about the opportunities that we missed to serve others and serve God.
