How can government tackle the fear of crime?

Do falling crime figures reflect your experience?

Crime in England and Wales has remained stable during the past year and there has been a fall in overall violence for the first time in eight years, according to Home Office figures.

The Home Office said it needed to boost public confidence in statistics because 65% believed crime was rising.

The department said police forces would soon start publishing local monthly crime figures, adding that national figures might not always reflect local conditions.

Are you more or less worried about crime? Do you believe the statistics? Do we need to concentrate on tackling crime at a local level? What are your experiences?

I have been saying this for years' man cannot stamp out crime. Man's job is to hold it down some' but man does not' have the power to stamp it out. And man also must obey the Bible when it comes to dealing with crime. Using the Old and New Testaments. And the Old is best. I will get fried for that statement' but so what.
