Just shows ya how long it can take to navigate ya way round such a mega-big site!
:
So...
@ 80+ posts after my musician's curiosity couldn't resist a 1-2-3... 8-)
HI OUT THERE!!! :multi:
Just in case we've met... :o
or I sound kinda familiar to ya..
Tourists will enjoy seeing http://www.Liverpool08.com - our EU Capital of Culture site
& http://www.Hope08.com - hope-fully, eh? :infinity:
& http://www.merseyworld.com - both have many clicks/links to enjoy :P
I was lead guitarist in Wirral-based The Lifelines gospel band in '66 - (the year UK won the World Cup, for those puzzled by such pre-historic antiquity!)
We played the now-legendary Gospel Coffee Bar circuit, round NW England & N Wales - @ the time when The Crossbeats, from Liverpool, were widely acclaimed as the best gospel group on the planet ...
(Earth, for any aliens out there!)
For fans of the now-legendary Jesus Revolution of the early-mid '70s, my musical evangelistic time was with Barry Crompton's Wirral-based band, Harbinger - after whom he named his 1st solo album as a pro gospel singer - in the same 'stable' & timewarp as Adrian Snell (who was commissioned by BBC Radio 1 to write musicals for both Christmas & Easter, for their festive broadcasts) :-D
Being also the period when multi-media drama was new, I also acted (& sang) with Liverpool based Roundabout Releases, at the time Parchment were resident band & wrote Festival of Light theme song, Light Up The Fire :P
As I may well move to Lovably Loony Liverpool soon, I hope to meet up again with guitarists Jon Pac & Keith Rycroft, who still fellowship in Anfield - (for the nostalgic out there!) :D
Update done 2 days after I hit 1200 posts here on 11 Sept '05, having hit *1000 on 20 Aug

& http://www.FlameCCR.org.uk - where I did some jingles & Sunday eve shows, March-April '07

So still available for 4 hours on their 7 days playback facility
In '74/'75, I did Operation Mobilisation Year Programme, at their then-global HQ in Bromley, Kent, @ the time Dave Pope led the Time For Truth evangelistic campaign - I was the 1 who used a portable cassette as PA -sheltered from the rain under my coat - (making some street folk think my voice came from my stomach!) :-?
'77/'79, while completing theology & mission diplomas at Moorlands Bible College - having done 1st year at Emmanuel BC when it was in my native Balmy (or Barmy!) Birkenhead, in Wonderful Wacky Wirral) - my regular fieldwork was singing, playing & preaching with prison ministry New Forest-based band, The Beacons - (in case ex-Wandsworth * 20485097...Parkhurst * 2047503...Dartmoor * 0327493763 or Pentonville * 0284937 are out there!) :x
As for current/recent residents of UK's fine NW region, who frequent precincts & know me as TC - the Town Crier...

The Voice is back in town ...
The Voice is back in town ...
:
Or ..
The many tourists frequenting NW's many beauty spots & know me as the mobile DJ who harmonises along to worship tapes, plugging Christian events & http://www.ucb.co.uk - 549m MW - in the instrumentals & breaks between songs... :fadein:
This being now half-term break week, I may well take audio tapes of sample Christian TV shows around the NW precincts & beauty spots - from Sky freeview channels 760 to 771...
