xounstaer, There are some translation issues with your posts, so I hope I am understanding what you are writing.

I do believe that we can take the Bible personally, as written from God to me. But, I also think it is very important to study each passage in proper context...truly understanding what God was telling those He was speaking to at the time. Otherwise, I can misunderstand what God is telling me in the Scriptures.

Couldn't have said it better myself. :)

ta...i

yeah i gues its not just the translation, since it took me quite a while to figure ou what the above said.

i know now though(take it personal)

nice reply('s)

but in other words both of you say i should keep it proper?

how about some books where meant not for back then.. but for now?
that changes a lot of the context right, in other words i'd say: it's been done once for sure, twice we dont' know for sure. and a third? or fourth?(top su.)

i've heard that before, that it should be seen as a historical book of religion in that time., or so.

that is so untreu.

i had nothing alse to mention beside i know books that are good for me'in character specifically, so i know if i dont doubt, i see no doubt..
and tehre info in there for anyone.

a feedback without words the feedback needed..

there is in there for all al also private or personal or individual, it is anyway actually, hope i said anything useful and/or was clearer. if i wasnt then i hope i will sooner.x

Stick with the Bible only. It is alive and its truth can change your life.

Hebrews 4:12 NLT
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

ty's ty's ty's :)

but what about what's not written within the bible alabaster, or what i could take of, pf a the bible.

i know it says you shouldnt and all. but isnt the word of truth and reality and the inner and outter knowledge more then just the bible.

if you want to be sharp edging and cutting?

Just get into the word of God, ask Him to teach you from it and whatever He says, believe and obey. It is all you need for a life lived well in Christ, as it helps us in all aspects of life.

When we look back from a place that was made for us by God in eternity - after we are shown all things, I know that the Word of God will still provide Light and be the treasure that causes me to live.

Today? I don't see clearly sometimes. It's important for me to study the word of God and let the truth that is found there take root by making choices based on what I've read. The Word of God, found in the Bible, takes root in us as we accept His word and act on it.

I love the parable about the farmer and the soil. Some seed fell on hard ground, other seed was choked out by weeds, some the birds ate but other seed fell on good soil, took root and grew.

We are like trees that are planted near rivers of living water. Jesus came to give us life and it is by His word and our belief in His Name that we grow. Every good tree will bear fruit and we should rest assured in our Trust in His promises that He will do what we need to thrive in our new family.

Cordially,

This Book that I have in my hands, I read each day. When I stand to preach, I preach this Book - this is the Bible!

It is the Word of God. It is a Book so special that we treat it with the utmost respect. We hold it dear and precious to our hearts.

It is not a Book like any other books which men have written. This Book came to us in a unique way. God Himself gave it to us. When I read its message, it is not the mere musings of a sage, a prophet or an apostle. It is instead the revealed Word of God.

That Book? You mean the one we sometimes call the Book of Books?

Yes, dear Christian, the One whose treasured pages you open to read for hope and comfort - what is that Book you hold in your hands?

And, dear preacher, pastor or missionary, when you stand up to preach, what is that Book you hold in your hands? Is it "the Bible"? Is it really true? Can you rely on every word? In your darkest hour, is it a trustworthy source of support? Is it inspired? Is it accurate? Is it the pure Word of God? Or do you have a book that is only somewhat dependable? Is your Bible only eighty-five percent the Word of God? What, indeed, is that Book you hold in your hand?

The Scripture's Tributes to Itself

Psalms 12:6-7 says, "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, than shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."

Matthew 24:35 says, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."

2 Timothy 3:15-16 says, "And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."

Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword."

2 Peter 1:20-21 says, "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man; but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

What is the Bible?

It is not the words of men but the Word of the Almighty God, who is the Creator of the world. The human penmen were employed of God to write His very words.

When we say it was given by inspiration of God, we mean that God Himself gave us His own words. That is why we use the terms verbal and plenary to describe what it is. Verbal has to do with His actual words. It is not just His ideas or concepts, but His words. When we say plenary, we mean inspired fully. It is not somewhat of God with the rest of it being man-made. It is in every sense a God-made Book.
So let us sit up and take notice. This Book I hold in my hands is God's Book. It is the word-for-word, precisely expressed revelation of God.

Is the King James Bible the Word of God?

Absolutely! Let us stop the quibbling. Either you have the Word of God or you do not. If your Bible is the Word of God, then you have something totally unique and very, very special.

What is your problem? Why do you feel the necessity to dismember, dissect and dilute the text? Why can you not just say, "My Bible is the Word of God; I believe it, I trust it and I honor it to the fullest?"

The Bible teaches that the GOSPEL (i.e., God's plan of salvation for mankind) is the power which saves a person; not our own eloquent words...
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." - Romans 1:16

"I have come that they MIGHT have life". A changed life does not resonate with "have life".
