[ Testimony ] How have you grown in the Lord?

We must all begin somewhere. How has your faith progressed over the days, months, and years since knowing the Lord God? What has made you stronger?

I just thought it would be fun to talk about how our faith has become stronger. This is a great way to learn what it is that speaks to you the most, and to help others grow in their faith.

So, tell us...

These below are just basic answer ideas. You don't have to really answer these questions, but you can base your post off of them.

- What has made you stronger in the Lord?

- How long have you been walking and learning with Him? What have you learned?

- Do you have goals for next year? Are you planning on learning anything new? Do you want to further your faith?

- Do you feel comfortable where you are now? As in, are you satisfied with your growth?

- What helped(s) you in learning about God? What does He show you to teach you about Him?

- Is there any advice for those who want to learn more about Him that you can give?

They are many ways to grow in the Lord. Most of my development came through Church. I am so blessed to be living in a country where we have many Spirit-filled, Biblically-based churches, where Bible studies and prayers are much emphasized. Of course Christian forums such as this one, and fellowship with and prayers from Christian friends help a great deal too. Personal devotional time with the Lord and worship is also what God uses to draw me close to Him. And I've read hundreds of Christian books through which God has also reached out to me and ministered to me.

Welcome to the forum ..... :wave

Shalom... :salute

I've gone ahead and moved this thread to our testimonies portion of the site. It's always a good thing to share how God has worked on us.

I have been going to church since I was born and I have had my ups and downs. In the past my faith has struggled a bit but I have always put up a fight. Before entering college I thought I was a strong Christian but it was in college that I realized how much more I needed him in my life. I dont know why but college seems to knock out and corrupt our christian youth. I am not judging because it was a tough experience for me. The hard part was to see how my christian buddies fell one by one. This is something that bothers me a lot therefore in my part time job I try to reach out to as many unsaved college men and women as possible. That has helped strengthen my love for God

I am not satisfied where I am at spiritually, I dont think I ever will be because there will always be room for improvement. I know I am saved in that sense I am happy where my daily walk has taken me. I really liked my job which I have had for the past year, but when I found out that my job facilitated procedures that go against my faith I decided to leave. I now have a job that pays less, but when you love someone you are willing to sacrifice, my love for God comes first. All of these things have helped me to love him more and to take my daily walk as a God fearing man more serious. My advice is to follow God with all your heart even if no one around you follows him the way you do. If you think you are at a state where you can relax, thats when you have to seek him more - the enemy uses those moments when we let our guard down.

Laying on of hands with prophecy, confirmation, visions, and dreams have made me stronger. Being validated by God Himself is assuring that I am called, chosen, and faithful. Faithful, so that I may go on to become stronger. Receiving the gift of tongues has given me assurance of acceptance, and a way and means to praise Him all the more. I could just explode sometimes with all the joy and revelation I receive, not to be arrogant, I mean, all the glory to Him in Christ Jesus. Even menial tasks seem meaningful, because I do them as I would do them to the Lord. I have grown with a fat head at times, but love edifies. The whole body is going to grow stronger in these last days. Here comes the bride all dressed in white. These are the days that the bride will shine forth. Arise and shine, for your light is come. Be blessed, encouraged, and strengthened, in Jesus name.
