[__ Science __ ] How Long Did It Take for Noah to Build the Ark?

I think it depends on what this verse is talking about.

Genesis 6:3
Then the Lord said, "My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years

Most people have assume that means 120 years from then till the flood. My opinion is that it could refer to another event. An event where the spiritual and physical realms were affected and seemingly more separated. I think that event may have been around the time of Babel. That is when lifespans drastically changed for all the world. No one born after Peleg lived the long lifespans of the people born before. We also see no more of the closeness of spirits on earth that we used to see. No longer were angels marrying human women. I personally deduce also that the physical laws of nature were changed or affected at this time. That would explain a lot, like how continents could move thousands of miles quickly without the killing heat we would see today if that happened. How the waters that covered a planet in the flood would not have steamed people on earth to death due to heat friction...etc etc.

I calculated one time when this warning was compared to babel, and found that the flood happened something like (I forget now the exact number) 20 or 30 years later.
