Experiment to measure the amount of unconditional love demonstrated by a pet dog as compared to a spouse:

Step 1: Place your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car for one hour.

Step 2: Open your trunk.

Step 3: Measure which one loves on you more when you open the trunk.

Lol! I've heard of doing this before but I couldn't test it out for three reasons even if I wanted to.

1. I'm a girl.

2. I'm not married (yet)

3. Unfortunately I don't have a dog.

Once, as I was grieving for a beloved pet, someone told me that the love of a dog is like the love you get from God; complete and unconditional.

I don't know about the theological implications, but dogs are completely innocent and once they love you, it's forever.

Well, that may be true but even though it's in their own way, I don't believe that cats ever stop loving you either,... that is, as long as you do what they want! :lol

I remember when that story made the news.
We had a similar thing happen here. An American pit Bull attacked a small boy playing at his own front gate. The family cat threw itself at the dog. The dog ran away. It was put down after attacking someone else.
