Ok see if I can help .
I will usually have the tab open on the link I want to share and do this next .
First left click your mouse on the address box at the top of your screen and then while your cursor is still on the now blue highlighted address right click the mouse and come down in the popup box and left click copy .
Now in the posting box left click on the symbol shown below in the picture .
Now in the popup box right click in the URL box and come down and left click paste . Now click insert button in popup box .
Hawkman describes linking to a website URL. You can also change the name of the link. Type the name you want to use and then select it so it is highlighted. Now, when you click the "Insert Link" symbol and paste the address of your link, it'll create a hyperlink out of the text you highlighted.
To link to another post is slightly different. Here I'll link to the opening post. Click on the [Reply] button at the bottom of the opening post and Voilà.
You can also link to part of the text from another post. Just highlight the text you wish to copy and you'll see a "Reply" option appear. Click "Reply" and ta-da!
The advantage of both of these two options is that it includes the name of the person quoted and an up arrow that you can click to take you to the post where it is from.
I appreciate every ones help. I think I got it. At least that it works for me.
So far, I right click on the address bar of the link I want. I then click copy. I go to my post. I right click again. And then click on paste.
I've tried it and it worked.
This was very important to me as I am involved in arguments in another form which is atheistic and liberal leftist. Which means much of it is political and volatile. And the link ability became crucial.
