How to compliment a lady.

Assuming she IS your girlfriend and not someone you Want to beyour girlfriend, here's some advice. I'm not terribly handsome, just average. I have to rely on wit to get ladies to like me. Girls seem to like unprovoked compliments. "how do I look" "good" does not count. Try something like, halfway though talking about something like pasta or football or beethoven, just tell her that she looks gorgeous. Bonus if she's not dressed up or wearing makeup or something.

Be Genuine. I can't help but tell my wife how I feel about her. It does seem redunant at times, but she never has to doubt the compliments I give because it's not a one time thing.

Just a smile of approval after the initial greeting...no drooling.
You don't want to let her think...you really are desperate. :lol Just having a little fun.
Better than compliments. Stay off the negative topics, if possible. Nothing ruins a night out more, than a bad conversation.

To be honest, I don't think it should be something you have to think about. It should just come to you.
I don't have to go out of my way to compliment my girlfriend, I want to because I truly feel that she is beautiful, wonderful, and such things when I call her that.
Basically, my advice is to simply say what you feel. As long as you feel positively about her, that should work out.

Well I know about the wonderful attributes about her, I just dont really know how to express it : I

As a girl I'll give you one piece of advice:- when giving a compliment Don't go overboard with it!

What I mean is in my opinion when someone goes a bit overboard and instead of telling me I look nice or pretty they say I look gorgeous and wonderfully beautiful (or, as my ex did, say I'm the most beautiful girl in the world!) it sounds false and it also sounds like they are lying to me because one look in the mirror will tell me that I'm not the most beautiful girl in the world but I might think I'm quite pretty today.

As I say this is just in my opinion and this may be affected by my low self image and slight lack of confidence but overboard compliment sound to me like lying and I don't like people lying to me.

Hope this is useful and doesn't just sound like I'm moaning!

Even if you see that she's crying and upset and maybe a bit sweaty and her eyeliner isn't quite right, tell her she's beautiful. And mean it. :D

It depends on the girl.
For me, I don't really like a lot of compliments, especially when it comes to things like beauty.
But like someone else, generally don't go overboard. Most people can see through that.

Well, my boyfriend and I seem to trade compliments naturally. For example, I'll walk up to him and say something along the lines of "oooh, don't you look wonderful today! Of course, you look wonderful EVERYDAY."

I dunno if everyone's like that, but showering eachother with compliments is just a normal thing. ^^
