Galatians begins with a very troubling message, of the possibility of Apostles, or an angel from heaven, which any man preaches to us, another gospel, other than the gospel we have received, ( of the Apostle Pauls ways in Jesus Christ.) they are accursed.
Apostle Paul mentions his communicating of the gospel, ( the same as he preached to all Gentiles of his ways in Jesus Christ.) only to those of reputation so he was not runnng in vain.
False brothers were brought in, spying their liberty in Christ Jesus, and their intention was to bring the believers into bondage.
Apostle Paul signals how the Galatians are bewitched, ( by those false brothers who preach another gospel and who are accursed.)
Apostle Paul speaks of those of the works of the law being under the curse, but that Christ has redeemed us, being made a curse for us.
Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Galatians 2:1 Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.
2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
3 But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:
4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
Galatians 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
( the Apostle had experienced those false brothers who desired them to be brought into bondage.) Now the Galatians ( through those false brothers/ if any man preaches another gospel let them be accursed.) desired again to be in bondage. Apostle Paul declares to them he was afraid of them, that he had bestowed labour upon them in vain. ( How he had communicated to those of reputation, so he had not run in vain.)
Paul continues the message, to stand fast in the liberty where Christ has made us free ( from the bondage and curse) and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondaqe.
Circumcision ( the accursed message of those who pervert the gospel of Christ) means Christ profits them nothing. They are debtors to the law, Christ has become of no effect to whosoever there are of them that are justified by the law, they are fallen from grace. ( in bondage, debtors, cursed.)
Whosoever troubles the Galatians, shall bear their judgement. Paul wills that they are cut off that trouble the Galatians.
They who are circumcised, ( who do not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.) do not keep the law. ( they only seek glory in men.) They seek no glory in God. But God forbid, says the Apostle Paul, that he should glory in anything else but the cross of Jesus Christ, ( Apostle Paul suffers all the great things/persecutions, for the cross of Christ which we heard.) and by Christ the world was crucified to him, and he was crucified to the world. ( with Christ.)
Galatians 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
Galatians 5: 1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Galatians 5:10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
Galatians 6:12 As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
13 For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
