How was your Christmas?

This is the question of the day, right? How was your Christmas?

That's all I heard sitting in my chair today; "How was your Christmas? Did you get everything you wanted? What did you get? :)....these are all pretty much secular questions and most of the people who ask me that on my first day back in the office could care less how my Christmas was, or what I got. However, when I hear, "what did you get?" I like to say; "I got the same thing you got. A savior." :lol only I did not return it."

Well that kind of talk does not always go over too well in the business world so be careful how you use it.

In any case....how was you Christmas? and what did you get are fun questions to answer so I thought we might do just that. Anyone have some cool gifts or stories about their Christmas day?

For me it was Snow! I live in North Mississippi and we got a beautiful Christmas Snow fall. Not sticking, but it fell most of the day.

Mine was wonderful. It's always wonderful to have all the family together.
Talking, playing games, and watching movies.
And the feast! YUM, what a feast!
It was a blessed time indeed.

Yes, re. the feast, some of us did eat rather a lot and (unfortunately) maybe a little too much?

Mine was fantastic!

About four months ago I handed out some saving tins at work and asked everybody to put their change in there so I could go and buy some Christmas presents for the children in one of the squatter camps that I support.

The response was mind blowing! Apart from the change, there was some serious paper money in there too. We managed to raise R1800.00 for presents and food. One of my colleagues and her manager did a brilliant job at buying an age appropriate gift for every single child! Another colleague called all her friends to donate wrapping paper and she got so many donations that we could cover the left wing of our office building. :lol Everybody pitched in with the wrapping of the gifts and the atmosphere at the office was just so light and cheerful.<O:p</O:p

My manager gave me half day off on the 24th (and she didn’t ask me to put in a half day’s leave) so I could go and deliver the presents at the squatter camp. There were tears and miracles and laughter and I again realised that the Lord has the most amazing way to fulfil all our needs. <O:p</O:p

I got home that night at about 18h00 and we threw my little one in the car and drove up and down the streets to look at all the Christmas lights until we got hungry and went home.<O:p</O:p
That night, when she prayed, all she said was ‘Happy birthday, Jesus. Amen’<O:p</O:p

I woke up on Christmas day with a smile on my face. My little one was ‘staring’ me awake. We opened and assembled gifts and played a little before we went to church. Then my family (all four of them ;) ) came over for lunch and then my fiancé, my daughter and I took the long road to his sister. Megan and I slept most of the way (about a 3 hour drive) and we spent the rest of the weekend there.<O:p</O:p

It was, as my little girl said, the best Christmas EVERRRR! <O:p</O:p
