I always thought my younger brother was such a cool cute guy. I always thought he had a nice nature. I refused to see any marked faults in him.
But I kept this image of him for ages. Years and years. I didn't really allow him to evolve. To change.
And now I see that i kept this idealised version of him. he in fact has developed much confidence. He's impatient , opinionated and decisive.i don't much like the current Roger. I prefer the old Roger. But maybe that image of old Roger was mainly in my head.
Allowing others to change takes flexibility and maturity.

This happens on here too. And of course can be negative .
I sometimes wonder about relationships that develop online. Is our online persona closer to the real person? So if a person is searching for a soulmate, and starts to really enjoy online communication with one person, is that a sign they are a good match in real life? Maybe not.
We can so easily fall in love with an idealised version of anyone.
