In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array...
1 Timothy 2:9 KJV
This is one example of where, if we want to discern the will of God, we must divide the Word of Truth most correctly. Where God has quoted Himself into Holy Scripture, we are to take the words as from Himself. Where God has quoted other people into Holy Scripture, we are not to take the words as from God.

Certainly I shall not treat women in such a shameful manner, asking them to behave with “shamefacedness”. There is no shame in Christ Jesus, and the Lord never, ever, behaved in this way with the women He met. He behaved in exactly the opposite fashion. I shall do likewise, and I shall recommend that all do according to the example of Christ the Lord.

Here’s the entire statement originally referenced, better translation, which helps only somewhat:
8 I intend, therefore, that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, apart from anger and deliberation; 9 also the women in like manner, in orderly apparel, to adorn themselves with modesty and sobriety, not in braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or clothing of great price, 10 but—which becomes women professing godly piety—through good works.
I Timothy 2:8-10
If the above quotation were stated as a thing God has said, that would be different. But it is not. It is a thing Paul has said, quoted by God, into the New Testament. We have an instance where we are told something much like this, concerning the Old Testament:
2 And the Pharisees, having come near, questioned Him if it is lawful for a husband to put away a wife, tempting Him, 3 and He answering said to them, “What did Moses command you?” 4 And they said, “Moses permitted to write a bill of divorce, and to put away.” 5 And Jesus answering said to them, “For the stiffness of your heart he wrote you this command, 6 but from the beginning of the creation God made them a male and a female;
Mark 10:2-6
Moses gave them commandment including divorce at will, by Law. By the will of God, it is not so. And we have it in Holy Scripture itself, that not everything God has quoted from Paul into Scripture, is His will:
And to the rest I speak—not the LORD—if any brother has an unbelieving wife, and she is pleased to dwell with him, do not let him send her away;
I Corinthians 7:12

Do you believe that God has inspired all of Scripture, as Paul and Peter say?
2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
2Ti 3:17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2Pe 1:19 And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,
2Pe 1:20 knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation.
2Pe 1:21 For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Do you believe that God has inspired all of Scripture, as Paul and Peter say?
Certainly. And God has quoted many different people, in the delivery of His Scripture. He has quoted Himself, and others. The quotations of others, are not to be treated the same way as the quotations of Himself.

We always need to divide the Word of Truth correctly . Here is the scripture in context again .

6Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. 7Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. 8I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. 9In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. 11Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

God is all about what is on the inside of a person not the outward appearance . There would be no need to come to worship God dressed in a manner to provoke jealousy among the other ladies . Paul had good reason to say what he did , Paul was THERE and we were not and Paul had authority from God or do you doubt that ?

Why does the Bible speak against braided hair?

The scripture wasn't about how men treat women.
It was about how women were to 'treat' themselves.

Do you really think Paul would have told us to do anything contrary to the Holy Spirit's commandments ?
I don't, which makes your POV suspect.
Moses gave them commandment including divorce at will, by Law. By the will of God, it is not so. And we have it in Holy Scripture itself, that not everything God has quoted from Paul into Scripture, is His will:
It seems you just want us to doubt Paul.
I won't go along with your odd POV.

I shall recognize that Christ the Lord encouraged women to not be in silence and all subjection, even in teaching session with men.

Something to think about when reading the Epistles.
These books were letters written to specific people or groups of people and while there is a ton of applications for what Paul teaches the context of all his works are to address specific situations that arose at the various people he wrote to. What he wrote are not blanket commandments for every situation.
Paul wrote that in his church he wanted women to remain silent..... why? Did he just devalue women? Or was there something going on there where the, or some of the women were disruptive? Simply we don't know. We know that women can do all kinds of work in the church including teaching. I believe and this is just my opinion that there was a specific reason, a problem that Paul was addressing.

Paul clearly held women in general in high regard in nearly all his writings.
