Do you think we will ever be free of insecurities and fear this side of glory? Want to know whether to keep pressing on or give up now.

I was asked this today by a lovely Christian lady, she has such grace and love towards others.
I'm sure and know that if she were asked the same question she would be gracious and reassure that we can be free of insecurities and fear this side of glory.

As you can see she don't quite get it for herself.

Any thoughts?

We are in human bodies we are stuck.. Less fearful and more secure as time goes by but not fully until His return

Sure. All we have to do is keep in mind that nothing that life throws at us can separate us from God and Christ (Rom 8:35-39).

I believe for the most, insecurities and fear are created through brainwashing.

What is there to be insecure and fearful about in this world.

Knowledge is power.

I'm reminded of Paul with his thorn in the flesh (Jewish idiom imho). His reply from God was, "My grace is sufficient".
I believe that all suffering for the Christian serves a divine purpose.

One of her fears is that one day God will say to her "Enough is enough you are on your own"

She truly has an issue that God loves her and accepts her, yet she loves and accepts all whom she knows and comes alongside.

Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Either we trust God in all things or trust Him in nothing. The flesh is weak, but the Spirit is strong if we only believe in the promises of God, Psalms 91; Matthew 26:41

One of the very last things that the Gospel of Matthew records Jesus is saying is I will never leave you nor for sake you even to the end of the age. if we believe and trust in his promises, it doesn't matter how much suffering we encounter in this world or what kind of fears we face , the promise stands true and that's bedrock. we can never let that piece go

I can relate to that. There's a good deal amount of preasure to be perfect as God is perfect. Or even to lesser degrees, the pressure of not measuring up is a frightening and sometimes paralyzing anexiety. It's enough preasure among people, responsibilities, and life itself this side of glory. It's only that much more if we look at God the same way, and measure our failures.

Be an example of love as well as strengthen her faith. That helped me some times.

Often times we feel like God is abandoning us but really isn't, It's like a mama bird pushing a baby bird off trying to get to fly but then mama bird would catch there young if she sees it falling. We need to trust God no matter what, and that he won't let us fall.

Faith is a muscle. It has to be exercised to be strong.
I can talk about lifting weights all day long...but it doesn't make my muscles grow. Not like really lifting the weight does.
