Humble thyself in the presence of the Lord, and he will lift you up.

How often do we humble ourselves in the presence of God?
Maybe everyday.
But where do we take it from there?

The opposite of humble is pride.
Daniel 4:37;
For those who walk in pride he is able to humble.

It seems that we should be humbling ourselves before God all day long.
Humility comes before honor.
This pride thing is indulging in the flesh.
Instead, we should serve one another humbly in love.

Can we do that today?
Is it in your heart to be a servant to all?
Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and he will lift you up, forever and ever, amen.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Sometimes it's at that point of falling that we have nothing left for what we have allowed pride to do to us. There is where many find humility and find Gods grace.

I have wondered about this. It seems like pride and humility are opposites, but I guess someone could feel rewarded every time someone told them they are humble. Then it could seem as though one is doing a good deed by being humble and pride is built on that.

I don't agree.I think that most pride is not good for a Christian.Being humble is what a Christian wants to stand on.

I was making a little light of the absolute fact that many, many Christians are VERY proud of acting humble, and even being complimented on it.
