The hurricane was hindering the Coast Guard's search for a family of five who went out boating Thursday morning from Marathon and never reached their destination of Cape Coral on Florida's southwestern coast. Edward and Tina Larson and their three children, ages 17, 14 and 4, were aboard a 24-foot pleasure craft.

Praying for the Larson family, keep us posted please...

These hurricanes can be scary. I lived through three of them when I lived in North Carolina, and now my parents go through the scare of them on the gulf coast in Ft. Myers FL since they recently moved down there.

Will be praying that everyone is found safe and sound.

I AGREE! Pray for the souls in the path of this monstrous hurricane.
It has already killed 7 people.

Please look at the maps and live satellite images, found on the
website I've provided .
The hurricane is HUGE!
If you've ever been in a hurricane, which I have, 2 times, you WANT people to pray for you and your family.
The biggest problems I see with hurricanes, is, people NOT taking in or securing their belongings, and not getting rid of sick or dead trees on their property.
A lot of damage is caused by falling trees, and the tons and tons of water these huge hurricanes dump on the land loosens trees, and that's why they fall over, plus, the wind. Mostly the water loosens the trees, though.
When a hurricane is heading here, the store shelves become bare, in about an hour after the announcement. You can't find anything you need, all batteries, water, non perishables, all flashlights, paper towels, etc. are just GONE! And the lines and bad tempers at the gasoline stations are horrible.
So, please pray for the people in the path of Katrina. I KNOW they're suffering right now, trying to get supplies.

The insurance companies, some of them, are thieves and bandits, and don't care one whit about helping you out.
Some insurance companies exclude damage done by hurricanes, which is sinful. I think.

AND....Hurricane LEE is next in line.
Look at the maps.
