TRUTH over TRADITION

My "theological beliefs" are so weird. I am one of surely only a few who can stand with both preterists as it pertains to their view of the last days and Seventh Day Advents as it pertains to their view of life, death, and the nature of man. Talk about strange bed fellows as I don't think there is a such thing as an adventist who also happens to be a preterist.
I'm not done being weird yet, for I also stand with Universalists who proclaim that the doctrine of an eternal burning Hell is unbiblical though I do reject their belief that the evil and unjust will reap age lasting life and be a part of the All and All that is God in the end.
Let's see what else, I agree with Catholics as it pertains to believers needing to act out their faith by the way that they live. I also agree with Protestants that value the authenticity and authority of the revealed scriptures as being the definitive authority on all matters related to Godliness.
Above all that, I side with virtually all of Christendom in proclaming my faith that I BELIEVE THAT JESUS OF NAZARETH IS THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD, the author and finisher of our faith, and the means by which we ALL have the hope of eternal life!!

I rambled all of that out to point out some simple truths. Firstly and most importantly we are all, no matter our particular faith wanting to be children of God, likely NONE of us including the man in the mirror knows it all or has everything right, and no matter how different we may be, each of us brings something to the table spiritually that is of value.
With that said, we would be well advised to to hear each other out and give one another the opportunity to be right even if what they say goes against what we THINK we already know. We will all be well served if we strive to make our hearts into the fertile soil Jesus described that will allow for God's word to grow in and help develop us into the type of men and women He would have us to be. That may take some rethinking, some pride swallowing, and even some apologizing and admitting of wrong, but so what! Where His words lead we will follow come what may, RIGHT????????????
Have a blessed Memorial Day weekend everyone!!
