I'm new here so I apologize for any misplaced thread or whatever, I just honestly don't know what to do anymore and thought this place was how to get real answers.
First of all my faith is facing quite few challenges. I try to grow my relation with Jesus but both sin and doubts keep me away from evolving.
An example of doubt is what I usually think at night, mostly with questions of "Is God really real or am I imagining myself ideas to keep up my life" because yes I have for several years this hesitation to kill myself or stay alive, which is mostly solved by this reminder that when killing myself I'm sinning and not even sure I'm going to be accepted by Christ for not "trusting".
The question is how to evolve and keep my life in order. I try to be a game developer and I see many people rejecting Christ completely having on social media tons of comments and subscribers, or game developers making s*x games promoting sinful activities and making on Patreon more than 20K a month while me I barely even get a single player even though I'm trying to ask God for these things and keep making games, updates, sharing posts etc on tons of projects at the same time. People get recognition with their first game because of "luck" or I don't know like a famous Youtuber playing it, while me, nothing.

Well, what do you mean by "make progress in my life"? Who's defining what "progress" is? You or God?

I think its great you're trying help your folks but is there anything about what you're doing that aligns with what God has said in His word, the Bible, are His priorities for your life? Do you know what God says are His priorities for all of His children?

By the way, are you one of God's children? Have you been born-again by trusting in Christ as your Savior and submitting to him as your Lord?

God never tells us in His word to judge ourselves by those around us. Instead, He tells us to make sure we are living according to His standard. His standard is the only one that matters.

People who make wicked games are not being "blessed." God promises that the end of the road they're on ends in DEATH, eternal and terrible. Don't envy them. Pity them.

The object of the Christian life is not one's self but Jesus.
Are you a member of a church that you attend weekly?
How do you help, volu teer I your church?
What other than the bible, Christian books are you currently reading?

You talk about " evolving " the bible talks about growing and to grow whether physically or spiritually one needs both food and exercise.

You have a passion for computer/video games. MayI suggest that you take a break from them and do something different.
Let your mind refocus, be refreshed and come back with a new game plan.
Get your Christian life back on track.

If you believe other people making "Sinful video games" are being Blessed because they get a "big payday"; then you are looking at all this wrong, faith and life.

One of the things I believe as a Christian is "to give of oneself", to the benefit of others. When you give of yourself, without any expectation of "reward"; that is when you might just find a true Blessing in your life. For designing video games; I might suggest asking your parents what their interest might be, then target your game design to an older crowd who doesn't need the "sexual" stuff.

Then you say you don't know if you are saved.
Why don't we deal with the salvation part first. Then we can deal with your employment issues.

If you are serious jonas_345, I can take you through the sinner's prayer. But I want you to understand what we are doing, and why we do it.

1. All have sinned.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

2. We have no righteousness within ourselves.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

3. Unforgiven sin leads to death.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

4. God provides a way for us, through His Son Jesus Christ, to have our sins forgiven, and have everlasting life. (Salvation)

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

5. Jesus will provide forgiveness, and salvation, if we receive Him into our lives.

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

6. When Jesus enters our lives, He cleanses us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

7. Once we are cleansed, we are, in Christ, new creatures.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

How do we get there? If we are truly repentant, here is a simple prayer asking for forgiveness.

Jesus, I know that I am not where I should be with You. I repent of my sins, and ask You come into my life; and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Thank You Jesus. Amen.

If we have done this, we have become new creatures. Now you need to read about what has happened. I recommend two books in the Bible from which to start. The gospel of John to begin to understand who Jesus is. I also recommend reading 1 John to understand what being a believer means. There is also another benefit for reading 1 John.

1 John 1:4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.


And who doesn't want their joy to be full?

Here is something for you to think about.

Are you looking for recognition as a famous gamer/developer or a closer relationship with Christ who might have a greater plan for your life that would help draw others to Him by possibly making Christian video games straight from the Bible that would draw the youth and adults to come to the Lord.

We do not evolve in Christ, but to build upon our faith as we trust in God and all His promises for every facet of our lives that bring glory and honor to His name.

We are not to be concerned about the evil within this world, but to be faithful servants bringing the good news of the Gospel's to the world. Your hearts desire is for developing video games so why not make games that will bring glory an honor to God. Games like David and Goliath, Battle of Jericho, and so many other events that are found in scripture.

Keep trusting, keep believing and never doubt your faith no matter what tries to come against you. Greater is He that is in you then he that is in the world.

It can be Christian who's good at making money and donates to the poor. Or singing in the choir.

John chapter 15. Body of christ is to produce fruit for God. It's sharing Gods truth with others. That's why Christian people study the bible.

Revelation chapter 14 . White fine linen is from your works. Some peple when they die in the flesh, and are in thier spirtual body , in the Dimension Jesus is in. Will be naked. They have dead works.

James chapter 2 tells us about dead works.

To be profitable servant to Jesus. Utilize your abilities and gifts. Produce fruit for God.

That's what Jesus says about those people.
They received their pay on this earth. But that's basically it. It ends on this earth as well, because "treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal".
They will lose their earthly treasures when they die, and they won't have holy character which God requires for entrance of heaven. You can't deny Him whole life, and deny poor, and claim you're christian or have godly character in faith.
If you don't stick up to your integrity of faith, then you had no faith in first place, you just want heaven on earth in both lives.


But also, on other hand, I would advice you about other extremity as well.
And that's that if you still watch porn every few days, and now you claim you won't be making porn games out of faith, are you really making any difference in faith or character ? You're still doing it, but you're lying to yourself like you're not, by saying you won't make porn games.
If you're really struggling with finances, like you really need them, then yes, I would advise you to make those porn games as well. I mean, don't you know that lust is in your heart ? Lust is thinking of other person as possession, as object. That's objectifying in today's terms.
But I'm sure you're not in that much need for money, are you ? Would you lower yourself that much, to make that much stupid game anyways ?
There are many indie game devs who made good games with good stories, much more interesting than just plainly bang bang.
You as game developer wouldn't be any better if you made porn game, really. It's only if you have that "love for money", which you know where it leads.. and why is that a problem.

So pride and lust for money and lying (deceiving) yourself like you're not doing **some sin** by avoiding it, is bigger issue here, than simply making porn game.

You know why porn game developers are sinning against God ? It's not just because they're lusting, it's because they're indulging in all other worldly ways and pleasures and blasphemy against God by rejecting His Spirit of repentance.
Know, that if you're in hard financial situation, and you resort to making porn games, but you have a plan, not to do it in future, that's good. But those bad devs, are people who will never stop making or ever think of stopping making porn games, but just continue to indulge themselves in that further and further, until they don't hear Holy Spirit anymore...


Of course, these said things require you to be much more spiritually mature, I would understand if you want to avoid lust if you're still beginner in faith. But just don't lie to yourself like you're not lusting if you actually do, better to at least make it profitable, it won't last long anyways, at least you can get career out of it.

I'm saying this to you, because I've heard, many 'christian' couples started with pre-marital sex, and even baby before marriage :O . It is sinful. I just don't want you give up on your dream if you can make a good career for your good skills. I don't want you to end up depressed and desperate. Because out of desperation you will fall into it, believe me, and only if you want to give up your dream of being good gamer dev, or even end up homeless... At least make a good career out of it..
Church people won't really support you, they're there mostly to judge your actions. I wouldn't advice you to confess them these things. Just keep it between you and God. It's about your career for your passion as game dev, and not about lust.

Damn, you have to have sex sometimes, why is it seen so dirty. Lust is in your heart, and your intentions. If you cut it there, you can make those games all day along and not sin. If you see it as temporary solution.. Because being a game dev for porn game whole life, isn't really most successful game dev in my opinion, I mean, there's only so much you can do there. I mean, after all, do you really want to be recognized as porn game dev all the time in events ?


And have you heard about desensitization ? If you literally burn with passion, then you should probably not do it ofc. Because you can't control yourself. But if you can't control yourself that way, do you know.. that's perverse.
Interesting perspective right ? It's perverse not being able to control your lust urges. That's why people who have issues being alone with woman (Billy Graham Rule) are still sinning. Because they're perverse enough to think alone woman = sex ???
So you are lusting because you're seeing woman especially woman alone with you, like they want sex with you ??? That's so perverse...
Or to have lustful thoughts just because you saw nude.
So: nude = sex ??? means: seeing nude == sin ???

Hi - you would be doing better than 90% of people, if your life would focus on positivity. As you live your life, ask yourself if the actions you are going to do in this world.......make a positive difference or a negative one. The gaming industry is mostly full of negativity that only breeds negativity. It would be revolutionary if you came up with something that was only helpful and positive for the person playing the game. May God help your journey walking in the light.
