There were those who fled the island of Puerto Rico to escape the aftermath of the Hurricane.
And the place is still a wreck. Probably going to stay that way too.
Between the inept and corrupt officials and the poor business climate (due to corrupt union officials) and most investors pulling out...the 45% poverty rate and insufficient police force...
The place is a cesspool. (Sewers aren't working due to a lack of electricity; 80% of the island has no power)
But many of the evacuated are trying to get back.
Currently there are no flights in for passengers. All commercial airlines are full of equipment and supplies. They are desperate to get back.
And I don't understand why.
Can anyone explain it?
