I just got my Christmas present to me...

thats awesome.My gift to myself was a new sheet set with pillowcases in chocolate brown I had been wanting it for a year.
 
I got 24% thru the book on the plane.

WHY didn't someone tell me about these things long ago? My 75 minute flight went by like a snap! :)
 
My wife and I got ourselves a new patio, Bummer is that I had to lay the pavers, myself.... 1,800 of them.
 
A lot of couple don't buy each other gifts but have purchased something for the house or something else they need.

Yes there is. I chose a Nook and have the Bible on it, Olive Tree, I'm not sure about esword.
I can read in bed with the Nook without waking dh with a light on. I download books from our state library and return them, in the middle of the night if I so choose. Liberty!
 
oh and I replaced my radio with a decent one, but why cant companies sell kits that aren decent. I had to reuse part of the old single din for the radio mount? pay more get less quality. 'MERICA!
 
Man, this Kindle makes Hotel rooms and airplane rides a lot less boring. :)

And being able to buy and download a book in a few minutes over the internet is really cool, too.
(Not to mention the fact that the eBook price is usually way lower than even the paperback price - not always, but most of the time.)

And don't overlook the free books. There are a ton of them, and some are very good.
