I haven't been on a Christian forum for a while. In the past the Lord has had me on them, but He takes me off them at other times. I have learned a lot from them in the past and expect to again.
Concerning me; I am a Charismatic Christian. I believe in justification and sanctification, meaning I believe there are believers that have asked Jesus Christ into their life and are justified by that faith. Yet I also believe there is a greater and deeper relationship available and a sanctification by the Holy Spirit working in our lives. The Holy Spirit working deeply in our lives creates a growth that leads to a closer relationship with God and His kingdom, and this results in manifestations of the Spirit in a number of ways, including the gifts of the Holy Spirit such as speaking in tongues, words of knowledge, miracles, prophecy, etc. I believe in that because that is what I have seen in my life.
I go to a large Charismatic church in the SW USA. I currently do work for the Lord in a Christian healing ministry known as the International Healing Rooms, that associates with a large number of Christian churches, including the church I go to.. I am of nobody important, but I love how God uses me.
Also I have a kind of personal crusade to try and get people to seek to hear from the Lord more! I personally feel that many, if not all, of our problems are due to our not seeking the instructions the Lord personally wants to speak to us. That is to say; I don't feel we God's people listen and seek to listen to Him like we should, which results in our problems. I'm not sure we know Jesus Christ as the Word of God.
I believe the Bible clearly tells us Jesus Christ is the Word of God, meaning He has God's spoken words to us. Yet we sometime get so tied up with the Scriptures as the Word of God ( because the Scriptures were inspired by God) that we forget and miss that the Scriptures call Jesus Christ the Word of God meaning He wants to talk to us personally. I know what my
relationship with Him has meant to me. It means I hear from God about a dozen different times a day, and I will talk about that relationship and what I hear. Things like, "MY PEOPLE WORKING TOGETHER IS LIKE PUTTING MAKE-UP ON THE BRIDE".
I believe it is Him, via the Spirit of God, who talks to me. I since I can see I am nothing special, I believe He will talk to anyone. So I tend to press that issue. I preach Jesus Christ and a personal relationship, meaning we Christians need to expect to hear from Him daily. So I am a bit zealous about others seeking to hear from Him. Just a warning about my personality. I hope my zealousness for Him doesn't offend anyone.
