Let's forget about the news for a while.
My plantar fasciitis is not so bad today.
I walked the dog with no pain this morning.
My dog usually sleeps in the loungeroom. He is not allowed in our bedroom. We found dog friendly accommodation on our vacation. He gets separation anxiety so guards our bedroom in the hallway, instead of sleeping in the loungeroom. He is so loyal.so sweet. It breaks my heart sometimes. The purity of his love. If I could only show that same love to God.
We are staying in a town called Dunsborough WA. It's a beautiful town. Yesterday we visited a natural spa. On the beach. Indijup. Climbing over the rocks to get there was challenging for me. If I was much younger I may have entered the spa...ok moving on.

It's not working, is it. You are not cheered up yet. I need a good joke maybe. Dog stories usually cheer people up though. My dog really does cheer me up. He doesn't get caught up in all the stresses of life like we humans do. He smiles and just appreciates being alive. There's a lesson there imo.

Visiting someone in hospital. I don't think I am good at cheering someone up. I envy people who can. Bringing the right gift? Watermelon apparently is a good choice. I would never have thought of that.
There's an art to cheering up a sick person. Most women thrive in the role.

Cricket. It's summer here so cricket rules. I love the game but was never even an average player. You get caught up in the back stories of the players . And of course there are the statistics. I remember with nostalgia the players of the 60s,70s,and 80s.
Baseball must be like that. Is anyone old enough on here to remember Joe di Maggio playing? Babe Ruth?
I prefer the longer version of cricket. Takes 5 days. The shorter version of the game lacks substance imo.

I saw a study where men tend to seek the company of women when they need cheering up. Women also tend to seek the company of other women. Us men tend not to be so good at the nurture thing.

American football is the game I love.

My experience tells me you are absolutely right.
"Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies".......we don't need confrontational brutal truths when we are sick or dying.

Music. Recently I have revisited the Smiths.
A UK band popular in the 80s.
Lyrics are very original and controversial sometimes. I think some Christians may view them as inappropriate.
Oops not cheerful....
I really am the opposite of cheerful, aren't I ......

Your dog has unconditional love for you. He's a good friend.

Huge hungry Amerjack at the dock trying to eat this amatuers livd bait and he made so many mistakes he did not even hook the fish it should have been the easist hookup ever. Best opportunity lost. Solid fish i called it over 50lb. I said did you learn a lesson and he said yes. He never got one before first attempt and same mistakes i first made, hes addicted.now he wants that fish. You must be prepared and set drag correctly. His drag was so losep start it just birdnest his line. Mistake one.
