I need some help

Hi everybody, my name is Brian. I am 34 years old and been having some issues. I went through a bad time in my life a few years ago. I lost faith years ago but have since regained my faith and asked the lord to forgive me. While I was lost, I seemed to open up some "bad doors". I have had dreams every since I can remember and have had certain experiences one might say were "paranormal" - which I dislike that word. I once had a phone interview with the most televised paranormal show there is. I needed to "vent" and thought that would hep me. I backed out of the process to protect my family. While I was in that "dark stage". I had some bad dreams and felt like I had some bad spirits following me. I had dreams of being trapped in a city of fire, and the repetitive dream of an old looking man who was in a white room laughing at me. I would wake at night, feeling pressure hoding me down in bed. I awoke once to a soldier type of person standing over me - but his intensions didn't seem good. I have since closed that part of my life and asked the lord to forgive me and my sins. I have prayed until my knuckles turned white with my forehead laying on my bible. i prayed so hard one night and seen a blue figure, without a face, in my mind. It was one of the few experiences I have had....where I was not afraid. It was comforting. I know that my prayers have been answered. Last night I asked the lord to help me. That I am his.....to guide me. To show me what it is he wants me to do. I dreamt that I was standing beside someone who was fighting evil spirits. Almost like they were possesed. That I was part of a team helping this person. Is this a sign? Any comments or any type of direction would be so much appreciated. I don't claim to be any type of person with any type of special powers....I just don't know what to do. Thank you and may god bless each one of you.

Hi Brian ,

Sorry to hear that you went through a lot of struggles, but I'm glad that you came to your senses and decided to renounce the occultic practices. You seem to be having a lot of dramatic dreams but unless someone with a gift of interpretation of dreams interprets the dreams for you, we wouldn't really know what they mean, although God does speak through other Christians sometimes. It's awesome that you dreamt that you fought evil spirits for someone. You should thank God for this revelation and it sounds like a good sign that God is going to use you in the area of deliverance.

I would suggest you see a Medical Dr., and a psychologist or counselor.

Wow Brian,

Those are incredible dreams you've had and from the sounds of it driven by past choices and experiences.

A few things you'll want to consider.

1) Romans 8:38-39 (NIV)

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

The fact that you've run back to the Lord is a great choice...one that brings songs of Joy to the Angles and that you are now found. (Luke 15).

2) Ephesians 6:12 (NIV)

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms"

Your fight is spiritual and should be addressed spiritually.

A few questions: Are you attending a Bible based Church? Do they have prayer groups? Do they have Bible study groups? Have you spoke to your/a pastor?

You definitely need others to be praying for you consistently, you need to be praying consistently and seek His wisdom in prayer and in the Word.

God has given me dreams throughout much of my life and some I have been prayerfully been able to interpret for me and others. I'll seek God in this and if He open's my eyes to what the dream means and if He wants me to share, I'll let you know.
