I like the fact that the OT is translated straight from the Septuagint. Is this a wise decision/purchase?

I wouldn't buy it, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't. I'm not Orthodox, which is why I wouldn't buy it, but if you are Orthodox or you just don't care, then go for it.

Many scholars would say that in Jesus' time, they didn't read the Hebrew, they read the Greek... the Septuagint. I'm not sure though, if the Septuagint is what the Greek Orthodox church uses. :shrug
