Jesus liked a good beverage. He was one of the first recorded home-brewers. Sure, it was wine, not beer. Don’t go gettin’ all fussy. He had good taste, what’d you expect?

Could you just imagine just kickin' it with the Lord? Laid back, having some wine, just listening to him drop some knowledge and laughing together...I'm so jealous of the disciples. Being killed by haters would totally be worth it!

I doubt Jesus was trying to cop a buzz when he drank wine, but that is apparently why the vast majority of people drink wine, for the buzz. That's not something I'd seek to do around Jesus. There are those who will testify that the manifest presence of the Holy Spirit is a far better experience, and one you would surely have if a believer could sit in Jesus' presence.

Me? I want to drink deep of the Holy Spirit with Jesus.

I've never made my own wine, but is it brewed? I've always heard the term "fermented". Beer is brewed, I know. I guess that's splitting hairs.

EDIT: Actually Jesus had an even faster method of wine production.
