Well, it happened to us again! Both times on iTunes. About a year ago, someone hacked into our iTunes account and racked up about $400 in iTunes charges. Thankfully, our credit card company didn't hesitate to dismiss all charges.
We had an expired card on our account, and about a month ago, someone switched our location to China and tried to charge about $26. If it was a live card, they probably would have charged much more! :bigfrown With these outstanding charges, I was locked out of iTunes and couldn't change anything until I sent a message to their Customer Care. They responded within a few hours, dismissed the charges, and I was able to switch our account to America, change our password and remove our credit card. From now on, we're just using iTunes gift cards on there.
Word to the wise... Don't have live credit or debit cards on iTunes! 2
Anyone else been hacked with identity theft on iTunes or other places? That's a horrible feeling!
