If you have not seen "The Chosen" (Seasons 1-3) and "The Life Of Jesus", do it now!

Amazon Prime is where I saw "the Chosen" and "The Life Of Jesus" on Freevee.

The Chosen adds things to make the story interesting. So far, I don't object. Don't want to be a spoiler on Season Three.

As for "The Life Of Jesus" I not only watched it at least 10 times, I gave away free CDs to my friends. Its genius is following the Gospel of John precisely, not changing the wording of Christ's teachings.

While watching and thinking about Christ's teachings, I learned a lot I didn't get from reading the words alone.

I binged watched Season 3 of "The Chosen", so now I'll do it again taking my time.

I disagree with the writers of "The Chosen". I would have made Judas' character a schemer and thief. From the beginning, he saw the crowds following Jesus and realized "the profit potential."

"The Chosen" doesn't do that. As I don't want to spoil it for you, I won't say anymore.

Spoiler Alert on Season 3.

Simon's wife has a miscarriage while Simon is laboring for Christ. Whoever thought that works, doesn't know scripture:

18 The disciples of John and of the Pharisees were fasting. Then they came and said to Him, "Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?"
19 And Jesus said to them, "Can the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast.
20 "But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days. (Mk. 2:18-20 NKJ)

The King of the Kingdom is healing the sick, raising the dead, all signs of the Kingdom having come in Jesus. Its inconsistent Simon's wife have a miscarriage. That is antithetical to Christ's ministry.

Same with "little James" being left a cripple as he heals others. No way. Anyone who knows "marketing" realizes everyone would focus on "why wasn't James healed, what is he guilty of, etc.?" Instead of focusing on Jesus' message.

The Simon thing really hurts the show, but otherwise, I enjoy it.
