Hey, I'm new here
just wanted to share a piece of writing that I had did awhile back.
I drank in her beauty,
and love from a wayward window.
In that moment love became like a trickling brook that ran into my soul;
ran into my body.
There was serenity...peace.
Afterwards my downed spirit had became as if a javelin had ran through it.
God lifted it out as he had,
and with a question.
Downed spirits became like my fill for the night.
Sadness...
Missing...
Longing...
Still my spirit was granted moments of relief.
Love for her,
my friends,
our God,
among other things brought me moments of peace.
I miss her...
I love her...
I know this is true.
In one of my weakest moments I betrayed who I loved most.
A host of evil followed,
like something awful on the wings of a beast,
swooping down to swallow its prey.
Still I love her...
My weakness has shifted its planted seeds,
and taken up fruits of love.
In my longing for her I realized that I love her,
and even though her words of ‘forever’ were lies,
I still stand on the shores of love with its sands of hope,
wonder,
and desperation.
For days,
and weeks I would look out across her seas.
What a beautiful grace when it’s bounties are full.
