I'm Getting A Dog Soon!!

Edward

2024 Supporter
I am stoked. I'm getting a (private) rescue dog on May 10th when its 10 weeks old. It's a male pure bred Pit Bull and he is all white. Everything I wanted in a dog. Male, young enough to train good, and a rescue dog this time instead of a high dollar one.

The man I'm getting it from has two of them and says his landlord told him yes it's ok at first, but now says no. So it's either I take it for free or he takes both puppies to the dog pound. I don't think I've ever seen a pure white pit bull before.

Change of subject...remember me saying I had one mouse and couldn't catch it or trap it? Well I caught him the other day by hand. He was just sitting on the basement steps and I walked down right past him and he didn't move. I thought he would jump and run. But when I was done putting clothes in the dryer, he was still there on the steps, so I scooped him up and released him outside. Praise the Lord for that! Wow, he never would take any bait from any trap!

Edward that thread you had about the mouse was the funniest thread I have read. It would have made a great sitcom.
Congrats on finding your dream dog.

Might want to check your local and state laws concerning owning pit bulls. I've heard some require you to take out insurance policies on them.

And, your present home owner insurance may not cover pit bulls.

That may have been the reason the landlord changed his mind.

Not my landlord, lol. There is special requirements to own a pit bull here. It just took me so long to find an acceptable one (read young enough to train properly) Seems like everybody owns pit bulls here. The dog pound has always had about 90% pit bull population (all of them too old to train them because they're all mature.

I have a huge fenced back yard too so he wont get out. I do need to install him a doggie door though. But if he does get out and gets picked up by the dog catcher..I live 1 1/2 blocks from the dog pound, lol. I can walk there.
