Hello to all,

I am new to this forum and looking forward to spending some time here!

Currently I am trying to find an appropriate scripture to use. Because of a job transfer, my husband & I with our 3 small children moved to a very rural area where we did not know anybody. We chose to attend the nearest church because we could walk there and have been going for about a year. This church immediately welcomed us and soon it was easy to feel like this was our home - not just a place to live.

But now we have to move again and are quite sad to leave our church family and community. I am planning to insert a thank you note into the bulletin on our final Sunday to express our gratitude to them for making us feel so much at home. However, I am struggling with the wording to really make it clear how much it means to us and also for the appropriate scripture to include. I was hoping that you might be able to help.

Thanks in advance!
Carrie

Hi Carrie! :wave

Have you tried looking at some Christian thank you cards for inspiration? Most of them also include Bible verses.

Let peace rule

Colossians 3: 15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

(Amp) 15 And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ's] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].

Welcome to the Christian Forums, Carrie. While there are several verses giving thanks to God, there isn't much about thanking one another for kindness. However, try Col. 1:3, 1 Thess 1:2, and 1 Thess. 3:9 and see if any of them work for you. In Christ, Jonathan

Hi Carrie, Welcome to CF!

John 13: 34, 3534 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.â€Â

Maybe you could thank them for following Jesus' commandment so beautifully. :)

Love, Kelli

Welcome Carrie in the name of Jesus to CF, and we are bless to have you here to fellowship with us contributing to the Body of Christ in the many forums this ministry has to offer. I hope in Christ that your stay with us is bless, as you bless us in glorifing our Lord in your offerings of words in wisdom, prayer, and/or an encouraging word to a brethern in a beat down situation.

We're thankful our Lord/Holy Spirit has led you here, my the forums be bless by your presence. We also have the "Ladies Locker Room" for subjects that are private that a woman of God would like to discuss only among women of God/wisdom for advice/encouraging word, and/or sincere prayer.

Welcome aboard..........GBU!
