Rhetorickety

Yeah, my alias is Rhetorickety, because I thought it was funny, but ya know, funny isn't really the thing to be, because it just isn't profitable... Profitable, as in edifying each other in Christ. Yeah, it's a human thing, you know, the wholesome talk bettering each participant's mind. That's the thing to do. And without knowing this, just think of what we might've done, thinking that what we were doing was harmless. Unwholesome talk has an opposite effect. The tongue is like a rudder, very small but guiding the whole man, and also like a consuming fire, uncontrollable and dangerous. If any man can control it, that same man is perfect. Besides, if someone else comes and looks at this forum and sees us partaking in wholesome and understandable conversation, you know, that they don't just think is rambling on about something unimportant, maybe they'll think twice about their beliefs, and the difference between how they live their life and how they want to live their life, or how they can't stop sinning, or about the way they feel. Or something that will persuade them to see the truth. But if we only partake in jesting, how will we seem like we know the truth?
