I'm really struggling with fasting

Well I like the Eastern Orthodox Church. I always have. I think they preserve a lot of good early church tradition, and unlike the CC have not contaminated it with as much false doctrine that went too far.

I'm just not a compete adherent to the EOC's doctrine's, being non-denominational now for decades, so I would view their positions more as an outsider than you would. But I do view them quite highly as denominations go.

Have you ever considered attending?

Have you ever considered attending?

No, Lana. I've become so accustomed to serving the Lord in my daily routine that services are almost an afterthought at this point. I'm sure I would likely enjoy a visit sometime, however, so if the opportunity should come up that someone local invites me, I'll certainly keep it under consideration.

How are you doing on your fast, any better?

Why not experiencing Him in Liturgy?

Men shall not live by bread ALONE, not that men shall live by the word of God and no bread. Jesus is God but also man, he has his physiological needs as you and I.
I don't see what that has to do with either fasting, or body vs mind.

Not a Liturgy guy.
So you're not a 'participating in the heavenly worship that's been ongoing since the dawn of creation' kind of guy? Not a 'standing with the saints and angels in awe of God's majesty' kind of guy?' Liturgy isn't just ritual—it's the closest thing to heaven on earth.

I knew I was gonna get this kind of response, LoL.

I understand the beauty of liturgy, so don't get me wrong. But I'm Pentecostal. The beauty of congregating for me is seeing and hearing the Lord Himself speak through His people supernaturally, i.e. through Divine utterance. We're just part of two different Christian cultures, but I appreciate the input.

Blessings,
- H
