Hello this is ImmortalZealot, I am 27 year old man and I go to an Independent, Fundamentalist Baptist KJV only soul winning church. I've read the bible 5 or 6 times and I especially liked to study verses about faith and prayer. I compiled a simple list of bible verses from the new testament that show you how to pray, what to pray for, what things can hinder your prayer and also how to actually get your prayers answered. Some people pray but don't get their prayers answered so they think God doesn't answer prayers. That isn't true, if you actually know what you're doing then your prayers can be very powerful. I posted a "Prayer Handbook" on scribd since that is a well known and trustworthy site that lets you see the document for free or download it. Like I said, it's literally just a list of bible verses about prayer. I intentionally did not add my own commentary because I don't want to risk misinterpreting what the bible actually says. I would rather you read it for yourself and let the Holy Spirit teach you and help you understand for yourself. Comment below and tell me how to improve the handbook please, thanks!

Dear Brother @ImmortalZealot, welcome to CF.net in the blessed name of Jesus. Reaching out to others with God’s word is something I certainly support, and applaud your effort. We do have a requirement that posters have twenty posts prior to posting links, and that is to inhibit spammers. I did edit out your URL link, and I did like what I read of it, and it is not selling the gospel as is common in today’s religious market; at least as far as I could tell skim reading it.

First of all, Welcome to the forums. It's great to see someone so young to have read through the bible a few times. Certainly we all need to read through all the Word a few times.

I intentionally did not add my own commentary because I don't want to risk misinterpreting what the bible actually says.

Here's the thing, if you are not confident in what the Scriptures say, how do you know you used all the right scriptures? I know where all those scriptures are at, I don't know how to use them to make my prayers get answered because they still say the same thing on your page, they say in my bible. Faith comes by HEARING and a teacher expounding by the Holy Spirit what the Word says.

Matt 21, Mark 11 You have what you say, Believe that you receive then you have it. How do I believe you have something that you don't see? I might not make any more sense out of it now, than when I first read it.

Welcome ImmortalZealot to our humble forum. Too bad they took off the link before I could view it but, rules are rules.
Lord knows I desire to be stronger in my prayers; not for myself, for others. Not saying they don't get answered all that takes like Brother Mike stated is Faith that the things you ask are already done.

Personally I look at praying like I would lyrics to a song, because it's music to God's ears. Anyways... Hope you enjoy your stay here with us. :wink
