In God's Name – Not Our Own
It is interesting that people strive to create a name for themselves here on earth while ignoring the fact that in heaven everyone will be given a new name. Just imagine the surprise when all the earthly dignitaries, royalty, politicians, religious leaders, wealthy, and poor alike, find that they will not be recognized in heaven by their name here on earth.
People here on earth affix such an importance to their name that it is more highly treasured than even their own salvation. When God tells all the sinners who reject Jesus Christ to depart from him that he does not know them he is telling the truth. Only those who are forgiven by the belief in God's son Jesus Christ will be given a new name by God - that GOD recognizes. God will not recognize any name not given by him! Names that God recognizes are reserved only for those who accept the death and resurrection of his son Jesus Christ.
God gave Adam and Eve their name when they were sinless but when they sinned God knew them not and they were exiled from Paradise. Man became invisible to God as an individual once they sinned. Remember that God had to search for Adam and Eve after they sinned in the Garden of Eden. He knew them not anymore! Mankind now needs a sinless person with a name that God recognizes – Jesus Christ!
When a christian goes through life striving to create a name for themselves they are just following the lost of this world in creating a false God, namely themselves. Our name will have no value in heaven apart from the good works we do in God's name – Jesus Christ!
When a christian does any good work in God's name -Jesus Christ - God will remember that work because it is affixed to the only sinless name that will be recognized in heaven of all those who ever lived on this sinful earth – Jesus Christ.
Again it is important to realize that all good works must to done in the name of Jesus Christ so that it will be remembered in heaven. Good works done in our own name, like those of the sinner, will have no remembrance in heaven.
Again for emphasis - God will give every sinful person who is saved by the belief in his son Jesus Christ a new name so that their sinful past will never be remembered in heaven. This new name also means that any good work done in our own earthly name will also be forgotten. It is therefore important that any good work be done in Jesus Christ's name so it will arrive in heaven safe and sound ready for our reward.
As for the lost they will have no name since God will condemn them saying, 'Depart from me I never knew you!†The sinner, while needing the salvation offered by Jesus Christ, will also need a new name given by God. Only then will God recognize their existence.
The sinner always asks why God doesn't see man's troubles or suffering. It is because in God's eyes the unsaved sinner all have the exact same name, no name, while the saved have a new name that only God recognizes since he gave it to us. That name will be revealed to us once we stand before God in heaven. For now all good works must be done in the name of Jesus Christ, the only sinless name recognized in heaven!

To pray to any dead person is a fruitless pursuit since the dead will be given a new name in heaven by God if they believe in Jesus Christ. Or else they will have no name at all, due to their unforgiven sin. To the unforgiven sinner all will be lost, even their own name!

It is interesting that the Bible goes to great pains to show that Jesus Christ, because he is God become sinless man, has only one sinless holy name, I AM. When Jesus Christ became sin on the cross for mankind he immediately cried out to God for recognition. But because Jesus Christ took on man's sin God the Father knew him not.........
