In Him Realities

2 Cor. 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Confession: I am a new creature in Christ Jesus. I am a new creature being, with the life of God, the nature of God, and the ability of God within me.

The Christian, at new birth, does not have a new body, but some day he will. It is the man on the inside who is a new creation. The old man used to be there is gone. The inward man is the real you ( see 2 Cor. 4:16). The inward man takes on the very Life and Nature of God. Hold fast to your confession that you are a new creature. Then the new man on the inside will be manifested on the outside through the flesh.

God is looking at that new man in Christ when he looks at us. And we look much better in Christ than we do out of Him. We can't see each other in Christ. We look at each other from the natural standpoint, but God looks at us in Him.

In Him: realities

Amen Golfjack. We are indeed new creations in Christ, which to me is something greater and more special than being "born from above"--the true rendering.

To me, that is something that must happen to the nation of Israel before they can see the kingdom of God. Jesus came to minister to them preaching the gospel of the kingdom of the heavens (in Matthew).

Nicodemus, a leader, a ruler of the Jews came to Jesus because he knew Jesus was a teacher come from God. Obviously he was seeking the truth.
And Jesus said "..unless one is born again (from above in GK), he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3,
RSV..Parenthesis mine.

Note: this was before the cross.

And what did the OT prophets write that Nicodemus should have known?

That an idolatrous, unbelieving people who were overthrown and scattered through out the world, and only a portion were in the land, needed to be changed to enter the kingdom.

And that is what will happen some day as we read in:

Jer.31:33 "But this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel: after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and will write it in their hearts." AV

Ezek. 11:19 "And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you..."

Ezek. 18:31 "Cast away from you all your transgressions....and make you a new heart and a new spirit..."

Ezek. 36: 26,27 "A new heart will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you..."

Just as we are saved by the grace of God, so will it be for Israel.

God bless, Bick

Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus.....

Confession: I am His workmanship. He made me a new creation.

We didn't makke ourselves new creatures, He did. We are His workmanship. And We'd be careful about how we talk about His workmanship. Be careful to say the same thing about His workmanship that He says about it in His Word. Be care careful not to slur or mock God by saying, Oh, I'm so poor and weak and unworthy. I'll never amount to anything. He didn't make you that kind of new creature. He made us a worthy new creature who can stand in His presense as though you had never committed a sin. He made us a righteous new creature. We should start ourselves we really are, instead of who we think we are.

2 Cor. 5:21: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness IN Him.

Confession: I am the righteousness of God in Christ. My standing with God is secure. My prayers avail much ( see James 5:16).

We fearlessly declare that God has made us righteous. We didn't do it. God did it. Rigteousness means right standing with God. Jesus who is righteous became our righteousness. Therefore we can stand in the presence of God as though we had never done wrong. We can stand in God's presence without a sense of condemnation or spiritual inferiority complex.

Colossians 1:13-14: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into kingdom of his dear Son; 14. In Whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.

Ephesians 1:7: In Whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.

In Whom we have redemption..... How thankful we can be that we are not trying to get it. We already have it. We are now delivered from the authority of darkness, from the power of Satan. By virtue of the new birth we have been delivered out of the kingdom of darkness, and translated into the kingdom of His dear Son. We can overcome the devil no matter where we meet him or what the test. SAtan's dominion ended and Jesaus' dominion began in our lives the moment we accepted Jesus as Lord and were born again. Galations 3:13 tells us that Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law., being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree; We are redeemed from the curse of the law. Read Deut., especially the last half of the chapter. In Christ, we are redeemed from the curse of the law, which is threefold; poverty, sickness, and the second death ( see Galations 3:14 and the first half of the 28th chapter of Deut.). Satan's dominion over us as new creatures in Christ is ended. Jesus is truly our Lord!!!!

To this I add the following paraphrased verse:
Romans 6 :1-4 we have been baptised into Christ into His death, burial and raised with Him a new creature (or creation) in Christ.

The old self should be considered dead!
