rom 8:

3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Many today believe that Jesus Christ in His Flesh was just as you and I, that is sinful or with the propensity to sin, but this is a mistake, for He came in the likeness of sinful flesh, and His flesh was anti-typical of the tabernacle [ a place to meet God] Jn 1:

14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt[tabernacled] among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Even while on earth, the Lord Jesus Christ was a High Priest about to Give Himself as an offering to God, and as a High Priest, He had a much more glorious habitation than Aaron and his successors, and most significantly was His flesh or humanity termed a tabernacle, for in Him dwelt the Godhead col 2:9.. Scripture says that His body was the greater and more perfect Tabernacle

Heb 9:11

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle [His Body], not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

Heb 10:

20By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

As Christ body was far more superior in dignity and excellency than the materials of the old Tabernacle in the OT, How much more was it also more excellent and superior to our sinful flesh ?

For Jesus also spoke of His body as a temple Jn 2:18-22 ; and rev 13:6 speaks about how the beast and his followers will blaspheme God and His Tabernacle [ His Christ] and I am sure one of the ways this is done , is by means of the False Teaching of the peccability of Christ, and that he was either sinful or could have sinned in the flesh. For the humanity of Christ in conception, its forming, its anointing, and its union with the eternal word, was far more glorious and excellent than you and I..

sbg57,

Here is a useful testimony in this matter.

Heb 5:8-9
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; KJV

The Word testifies of this very fact... Jesus was w/o sin
2 Cor.5:20-21; Heb.4:15; 1 Pt.2:21-22; 1 Jn.3:5-7; Ps.92:15; Tit.1:2; Heb.6:18

Not sinful flesh but in its likeness..

Jesus did not come in the same 'natural', 'earthliness' as did Adam and Eve...

  • 1 Cor 15:45-49

    45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul;
    the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

    46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural;
    and afterward that which is spiritual.

    47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

    48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly,
    such are they also that are heavenly.

    49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy,
    we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. KJV

It was impossible for Adam and/or Eve to keep from sinning,
likewise the opposite is true of Jesus...it was IMPOSSIBLE for Him to sin!

  • Matt 7:17-20
    17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

    18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

    19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

    20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. KJV
Though the topic is not on directly about Adam and Eve...we do inherit the same FLESH they had!

Correct, only in its likeness, resemblance !

Correct..Adam and Eve were made subject to the things of sense and time, Jesus was not, even though He took on flesh and blood, inwardly He remained a heavenly Man, a Spiritual being..

Though the topic is not on directly about Adam and Eve...we do inherit the same FLESH they had!

Yes..by nature..

.[/quote:3fwn6srd] Scripture references please.... If it was impossible for Jesus to sin, then Satan was wasting a lot of his time. Jesus is said to be the second Adam b/c He was made w/o sin, just as Adam was. Adam was a created being of God and the son of God (Lk.3:38), while Jesus was the only begotten SON OF God. However, both could had remained righteous or not. Sin is passed from the father to the child, so Jesus could not have been conceived by an earthly father in order to be righteous from birth.... Adam too didn't have an earthly father. Both were the only 2 men to ever be on this planet w/o any sin in their past, until Adam decided to rebel against God's authority.(Rom.5:12-21) All were made unrighteous by Adam, just as all who will ever decide they want to be righteous and remain that way, will be made that way by Jesus taking away all past sins (Rom.3:25; 2 Pt.1:9; 1 Cor.3:16-17; 6:9-10; Rev.2:5, 16).
