For Kleenexes, Belly Button rings and other household 'essentials'...

Doesn't bother me in the slightest.

I disabled ad blocker on CF because someone has to keep checking that the ads are appropriate

There's another site I"m on that runs no ads at all because there is a solid and reliable donation stream. Just saying ;)

As in, "Thou shalt not wear a navel barbell if you come to this church." I reckon a lot of folk would think this was going over the top, if they treated young women in this way, anyway.

Up until about 1969, it was against the rules to show belly buttons on TV. I don't know if the buttons themselves were considered offensive, or if it was just the excess skin of the midriff. Now we show them and decorate them. "We" doesn't mean "me".

I'm guessing it might have been a combination of both.
