This is a photo from a while back, but always been one of my favorites. Last picture ever taken of my childhood pet; she was to be "put to sleep" the next day.

What a very special picture that is, Questdriven!

Sorry you're dear companion left the following day ...... our pets are part of our families & are sorely missed when they're gone. Thank the blessings of memory, tho ... as long as we have our memories, our lost loves are never really far away.

For those of us who truly love our animal companions, it's hard to say good-bye to them. But we do it, again and again, knowing the heartache it causes when they leave us.

Because we know that our lives would be missing something precious without those "four feet trotting behind."

I was touched by your image, and I saw lots of detail and color just out of reach in your print. l hope you don't mind me seeing what I could find in it.

Oh yeah, I like that version better.:)
(My camera isn't all that great. My photography teacher--I took a class once--did have a low opinion on Kodaks.)
