Introduction

Hi brothers and sisters.

This is my first post. I probably won't be on here too often but I specifically came on the net tonight to look for a Christian forum. I have been a Christian for 20 years and during that time have back slidden twice. I have recently returned to the Lord after a short absence due to a heavy work load and falling into depression from which I am recovering steadily and although my relationship with the lord is going from strength to strength I do have moments of weakness regarding my understanding of God's word. I hold it very close to my heart but I have so much to learn. I recently became involved with Jehovah’s witnesses and they have planted stuff that I don't agree with but it still makes me wonder. To top it all my 24 year old son who still lives at home has been completely taken in with them and I find it hard sometimes to shake off the things he says. There are so many things I need to ask about but it would be too much at one time. So for now I just want to say hi and God bless.

Hello Everyone !

This is my first time at this site. I am a member of a Lutheran Bretheran Church in a very small, farming town on the border of Minnesota and South Dakota. Here in the Midwest no problem talking about Jesus anywhere within probably 50 miles or so. No one seems to mind here. As a matter of fact, it is normal here to get involved in a Church, After all, gotta love those Midwest, Church potlucks! Anyway,. if you want to know the Lord, read your Bible. It took years of my wife saying this to me until I got started. Now I can"t stop. Please go to a Church that believes the Bible is inerrant and the word of God. Don"t waste your time going to any Church that thinks they need to change the Bible. If you read it everyday you will find yourself moving closer everyday in your relationship with God. I thought the Bible was too hard to understand. That is where the Holy Spirit comes in and helps you. I recently joined Shared Hope International and The Defenders USA. great organizations. Please take the pledge to do your part in ending this awful treatment of women and children. Get involved locally, do your part to stop all forms of pornography and prostitution. The People who make and sell this stuff should be stopped now! We owe it to our children to give them a chance to enjoy this great country of ours without being influenced daily by this morally sick and wrong facet of our society. Please go to their websites, check them out, and if your heart is not moved, then you have a Hole In Your Sole ! OK, I stole that from an old blues song. But really, please help return America to the shape it was in when my favorite generation left it in our hands, the WWII generation. Have to go for now, God Bless all, Speak the name of Jesus everywhere you can. This is our country, and we must not be pressured into all of the changes that the media, and present administration seems to be cramming down our throats each day.

Welcome and hope to see you around the site, I was involved with the JW's, have back slid en on occasion but my Lord never seems to let me go. We all have moments of weakness, thats why Jesus came for us anyway.. If He can't get me there, well I'm not going to make it...
