as for this bubble you mention, I would hardly say i was or am now in any bubble.

Now being 31, I was saved at 25 after living in this "evil" world you mentioned taking part in many of their activities!

I do now go into the real world everyday and take the gospel with me, I don't just talk about it in church where I know every one is on my side. At work I witness of Christ, at the mall and out in the streets. I am not an undercover Christian as many are.

People naming the name of Christ as their Lord and continuing their life as he was just their ticket out of hell and not their Ruler and King are the ones living in a fairytale world...reality awaits indeed when the are either cast into the lake of fire or make heaven but with all their works burnt in the fire.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.


God put it in mankind to worship, so if not God then self, animals, statues, etc...

Before God will receive worship you need be his child. Then there must a right spirit in your life and truth.

If you are not worshipping God, then all other worship comes back on one place , Satan!

If you worship a statue, thats wicked and does not glorify God so satan gets the glory.

If you worship animals, like a cow or whales or your pet fi-fi, then you are not glorifying God thus worshipping Satan.

Sure, I live about 3 hours west of you. Did I say I would harm you, I just know face you would show me respect that you apparently can't do behind your computer. Being respectful is something learned in youth, if not then, its like the old saying you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

There you go again... you don't even know me. You shouldn't presume to think you do either. I bet I haven't taken part in things you have in the past ever. I have been a Christian since I was young and an not shy about letting others know what I believe. I just don't pretend I'm the only Christian left in this world. I've also gotten past those years of judging people and seperating the sheep and the goats on my own. God will do that, my job is to tell people the way... not put labels on them and go out of my way to be confrontational. Jesus was hated because men rejected Him as Saviour, not because He went around trying to pick fights using the Holy Roller attitude. A lot less condescention and a lot more sincerity will go a long ways.

You said there are things you are ashamed of in the past, well you need to realize there are Christians out there who wear external scares of those same kind of years spent away from Christ. Christ accepted you despite knowing all the things you've done in the past, oddly enough you won't except brothers or sisters who were brought out of the same places. Salvation doesn't give you the warrant to judge them or to start pounding the nails in their coffins.

God Speaks Everyone's Language .... !!!

I was concerned about some of the modern Christian music, so I began checking out some of the lyrics more closely, and reading testimonies by the artists themselves. I have come to the conclusion that Christian music, is, well, uhm, Christian music!!

My oldest son listens to P.O.D. and Demon Hunter, and other metal/rock style Christian music. He has also learned to appreciate more mellow music, like Celtic hymns and praises, traditional hymns and praises, old-style Christian music, classical music, bluegrass (Christian) ........

Music can be a tool for either God or Satan. I have learned over the years that God speaks everyone's language, whether it be old-style Christian music or modern Christian music. It's that simple. You can't put God into a box, and say that God cannot and does not use Christian comtemporary music.

If you don't like a certain style of music, then just don't listen to it. Simple. Take some time, not just a couple of minutes either, and sit down and listen intently to various styles of Christian music carefully. Read the lyrics carefully. Read the testimonies of the music artists.

If you take away Christian music from young people, they will most certainly listen to music that is absolutely not Christian, and may even get into Satanic music, secular concerts, parties, drugs, alcohol, pre-marital sex ........

One thing that is sad, is that many churches are losing the youth. Many youth, and not just those under the age of 18, are not getting it. They are missing out on worship, because for one reason or another, they simply cannot relate to the old-style of Christian music.

Many churches are worshipping God with contemporary Christian music, and what a blessing ........ to worship God Almighty ..... That is the whole point, to worship the Creator. People of all ages are coming together, worshipping God with all kinds of music. It's totally awesome to see people from young ages up to their 80s at our church, worshipping God with contemporary Christian music. Our church plays some worship music, metal style!! Totally awesome dude ....

Give God the glory in everything that you do! He understands our hearts.

I can think of one christian metal band that is very helpful called Overcome. They have a song called When Beauty Dies and they have this lyric in it

I think people think that every lyric and every song is suppose to say God or Jesus in it. I think that you shouldn't be ashamed to mention God or Jesus . I don't see what is wrong with a christian songwriter talking about his struggles with sin whether it be drugs, pornography and how bad he feels dishonoring God. I actually would like to start a christian old school punk rock band. While I can't play an instrument I can sure scream fast or scream slow.

I don't think Christian Rock in and of itself is satanic. I will say however that I have seen an awful lot of ego in some of these bands. Also, these musicians have the same struggles as everyone else and when they hold themselves out as "christian rock" they are just asking for trouble when they fall.

Same goes for Kansas and some others. Calling yourself Christian Rock can be the kiss of death so the whole dilemna is broader than we suppose at first.

I enjoy Christian rock and it has helped me become closerto the Lord Jesus Christ. Thumbs up for Christian Rock. Just love Day of Fire, Listen to the testimony of the lead singer. He used to be the lead singer for a band called "full devil jacket". If I did not enjoy rock I would never had listened to his music or his testimony.

roll" means fornication. It is a street name for sexual immorality.

I am not buying that.

The term rocking acutally means a spiritual rapture. It was a term the black church used to write a lot of their spirituals. The term rocking and rolling actually first appeared together in the 1916 spiritual "The Camp Meeting Jubilee".

Having said that though, Rock and Roll was used by the secular world to represent having sex. It was occasionally used as slang, and this is the same phrase that Alan Freed coined the term "Rock and Roll."

However, sex is not the only thing that rock and roll means. Some artists used the term to refer to the motion of a boat in the sea, and the rocking back and forth of a train. Just because someone coined the term for sex doesn't mean that is the only thing. Otherwise, the lullaby rock a bye baby has a totally different meeting.

Just because the song is in the style of rock doesn't mean it's automatically equal to sex. It's just a name for the genre. Also, just because the secular butchered the phrase rock and roll doesn't mean we have to take their intrepretation of it.
