Is death imputed?

Romans 4:17 testifies that Abraham believed God, who brings to life the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.

Luke 20:34-38

34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:

35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

Is death, called death, but is actually part of the designed process of God in His eternal purpose?

Matt 10:28
28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

The death of the soul is the true death. There is no resurrection unto eternal life.
The soul that sins against wisdom will die. Proverbs 8:36 -- Ezekiel 18:4

Transgression of the law brings organic death. The death of the body is necessary to prepare the heart and mind to be swallowed up of eternal life in the resurrection and its regeneration. The captain of our salvation was made perfect through suffering. We are perfected in our hearts and minds as the image of that suffering is reproduced in us by the holy Spirit, as we are given to suffer for the unjust who persecute us and despitefully use us. Heb 2:10;10:14; Rom 8:29; Phil 3:10.

Our outward man is perishing but our inward man is being renewed (accounted worthy of the resurrection)day by day. 2 Cor 4:17.

Rev 3:1
These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. NIV.

The body is dead because of sin. We who are evil know how to give good gifts for the sake of advantage. The heart is deceitful. Our mind cannot comprehend the evil in our purposes. We have unbelief against God's purpose and his way of accomplishing his purpose. We worship the processes of our belly.

Eccl 7:1-2
1 A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth.

2 It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart.
KJV

Eccl 7:3-4
3 Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.

4 The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth.
KJV

Pray that God will give us to die in the Lord (Revelation 14:13), and not just be tormented by the first group of riders out of the pit in Revelation 9. They could not bring the needful death to sin, to prepare us to inherit eternal life. The 2nd group of riders in Rev 9 are able to bring the needful results. Their sting is in their mouth and their tail.

Otherwise we will be jesting and joking Christians; seeking happiness instead of godliness; without finding any satisfaction/justification/rest for our flesh.
