So can not work any longer? What age is it?
I work for the city. All local and federal employees are allowed to retire any time after they are 65, but must retire when they turn 70. For most other (non-government) employees, they are allowed to retire at 67, but have to retire at 70. Those are the rules, but some smallar companies allow people to work longer if they're still able to do their job, especially if nobody else is applying for the job. Self-employed people can of course work as long as they want.
