Is it a sin for Christians to eat greasy bacon? Some believe it is a sin to eat meat from a pig. But what is really Biblical in the scheme of things?

Why isn't pork good for our bodies? I did a nutritional lookup between pork and lamb, and lamb was way more worse for you than pork...

If the low fat, no fat, lean meat, veg only, salads rule, diets really worked, then we all would be way thinner. I know I would be LOL because for years I ate all the "right" things and still gained a bit of weight. Then I started reading up for myself (seems to be the constant thing in my life that changes the way I see things: I read it for myself LOL )
Animals fats, coconut oil (VERY good for you to cook with, it has no cholesterol at all and speeds up metabolism....this oil burns fat ! ) and Ghee (clarified butter) , butter, cream, cheese , lard. I now eat far more protein and good natural fats (no transfats) Do not heat up olive oil, it looses all its good qualities, eat it cold over your food.
Eat the fat with the meat, do not take the skin off the chicken, cook with lard. :yes the opposite of what you have been told. Your cholesterol will drop, your arteries will clear up, and your blood pressure will drop. Eat nutrient dense foods, like Broccoli (with a butter sauce) and Spinach . Stay away from empty calories in white bread and processed foods. Yuck, its poison.
Learn to ferment things like Sauerkraut and Kimchi. Get Kambucha going in your kitchen and teach you kids to drink this instead of Colas. Get some culture: Ferment something You can join my Fermentation group on Facebook, we share the "how to" there. Just type in "Fermentation" in the groups section and voila !
Second comes veg and very last your starch. I avoid starch like bread, rice, potatoes, because you get plenty carbs in when you eat fruit and veg. Apples are very high in carbs but they are good carbs.

I think I'll try what you're saying here. I need to lose weight and to drop my blood pressure. I want to do this without meds. I have dropped it a bit with lowering salt intake but it still needs to come down. From what you are saying....empty calories, starches, bread, sugars are the culprit with both weight and BP.
How about chocolate? Where does it fit on your list? :D

If you want to do it the right way, buy a book by Sally Fallon called "Eat fat Loose Fat" she tells you all you need to know and its not difficult to do.
Chocolate ....mmmm I must admit I buy some from time to time. But then, buy a GOOD one like Lint and have one square. Better a little good, then a lot of bad.
