No, it isnt a 'sin' because we cannot neglect the lost in a country simply because their leadership is godless freaks.

Agreed FoC, it is definitely not a sin to do what is right in the sight of God. God would MUCH rather we reach out to lost people than obey the wicked laws of evil regimes.

Think about Jesus, Jewish pharasaic law prohibited certain things on the Sabbath but because He chose to heal people on the Sabbath they wanted Him dead. Martyrs are often killed because they are disobeying the laws of their evil governments by evangelizing...does that make them wrong or right? I would strongly posit that they are in the right :yes

Goodness, no that isn`t a sin. It is like asking "is it a sin to give food to your starving brother when it is illegal in that country?" We have to look after our brothers and sisters in Christ. The Bible is our bread and water for living. We need it. I would say it is sinful though to carelessly give Bibles in illegal countries. Much caution and care must be given to secretly get the Bibles into safe hands. If someone isn`t willing to take great caution, then they are putting a lot of lives at risk and that is sin. There is nothing sinful about giving a Bible to hungry, desiring brothers and sisters.

You can open this up to a lot of areas I imagine...

BTW - I smuggled Bibles into China - quite an experience.
